Staples penny sale

Yes, just the teachers' reward card.

Dawn

Is that the teachers reward card or another card? This is my first year teacher and I have the reward card but wondering if there is another card I should sign up for.

An easy rebate is Staples online rebate. Its supposed to be easy because you don't have to send in the receipts, just enter the info from your receipt on their website and your money will show up about 6 weeks later.

Last year I got pencils, pencil cases, sharpeners and folders for $.01 each. There were also binders for about $1.

In late August-ish they had the shapeners for $.05. DSIL had picked some up, and I was like 'You paid $.05 for that sharpener?" :lmao: :lmao:

They also had rulers for 1 cent, packages of pencil top erasers for 5 cents, bottles of glue for 5 cents, boxes of 24 crayola crayons for 20 cents, protractors for 5 cents, 3 prong binders for 3 for $1.00, packages of paper for 20 cents.... There were lots of great deals. Just check the Sunday ads every week from here on out for the next month.

As and FYI. Staples does price match if you bring in an ad from another store. So, when Walmart and Target run their ads, you can bring the ad to Staples. It must be the same exact item though!!

::yes:: The rebates are very reliable. They DO come. You can even track it online once you've entered it, so you know things went through properly.

Oh I didn't mean to imply it's not easy, because yes it's VERY easy. I just wanted to explain that it's different from an instant rebate.:)

hu.. all I need is 4 packs of pencils.. I dont think I will waste my precious gas this week on a drive over there.. ;)

Looks like the sale starts on July 6th. Put your zip code in at the Staples site and it should preview the sale for you. :goodvibes

Sweet! I previewed the ad and I will be hitting Staples tomorrow! I remember Target having some great back to school deals last year on crayons, etc. I'll be ready for them this year! DS starts preschool in the fall and if I get more than he needs, I'll just donate it to his school!

ETA, I'm a substitute teacher, do you think that counts for the teacher deal? I do have an ID card from the Intermediate Unit.

SWEEEEEET! I have an inexplicable and insatiable addiction to school/office supplies. I guess it's a good thing I'm a teacher.

Does anyone know if Wal-Mart will price match from Staples Ad?

Thanks!

The sales are great if you can actually get the items. Twice last year I went 15 minutes after the store near me opened on Sunday and they were already sold out. I saw folks pushing buggies around piled with the one cent deal.

Totally not fair to those of us who just want 8 folders and several packs of pencils that week. The second week I tried was markers and crayons for a quarter and the same thing happened.

The store near me didn't give rain checks either because "it was a special deal".

They lost my business except for checking them out for the school specials.

Just back from Staples here in Michigan. Got everything I wanted. The best deal, I think, were the Sandisk Cruzer 2GB flash drives, regularly $24.98 but selling for $11.98. I got three. I use them at school and my Dkids use them, too, and they always seem to "disappear."

I sent my DD13 through the line behind me with 10 of the 1 cent folders and 2 packs of 1 cent pencils (I also use these at school). I gave her a quarter to pay for it all. She says afterward, "I can't think of when I've ever used a quarter to pay for something and got change back." It all came to 12 cents! Sweeeet!

There are limits on the amount of items you can get. I wonder how they got away with buying cart fulls?
I went this morning, forgot my teacher ID :headache: , and was only able to buy 2 of the pencil packs, 2 hand sanitizers, 10 folders and 4 binders. And they definitely had PLENTY! I will be going back tomorrow with my teacher ID, which I was told would enable me to buy 25 of each...

The sale started at the staples near me and is running thru Wednesday. Luckly, when I made it there this morning it wasn't to packed and I was able to get what I needed. I've never seen so many 6 yr olds buying all their own school supplies with a quarter.

It's great timing since our schools here all start tomorrow! Of course, I was at Target yesterday and what with going to WM a few days ago, I've already gotten all the supplies DD8's teacher asked for.:rotfl2: But how can you beat those one cent deals? If I'm in the area, I'll stop in but it's not worth the gas otherwise.
Thanks for the heads up!
