We were in Orlando from Feb 17-27 and I was really surprised by the wait times being inaccurate. I had figured from everything that i had read that there are sometimes some discrepancies but generally everything ran roughly (within 5 min ish) to the time that was listed. We visited all the Disney parks and Universal and we found that they were almost never accurate. 15 min wait could mean that we would basically walk on (5 min wait at most) or it was going to be at least 30. There was only a few times where the wait posted at any ride in any park was actually what we stood in line for. It wasnt the biggest problem, but it was a bit frustrating going in a 10 min line and actually waiting for 40 (dont get me wrong we very much enjoyed the ones that were 30-40 being more like 10 of course lol)
Is this the norm now? Is it due to the fast pass +? I dont mind waiting if its something i really want to do but id like the times to be a little closer to reality.
Also we found that most days at least 3/4 of the rides were 30-60 minute waits... and this was on what was considered to be a 3-5 crowd rating day. Is that also the new norm?
