Standard View BCV in Jan 2003

Okay all you expert BWV DVC'ers, here is a question from a rookie. What are my chances for 2/Std View Studios or 1 2BR Standard View at the BWV in January 2003. I am going to try to book tomorrow and although we have been to Disney numerous times we are new to the whole DVC booking. We purchased a 200 point BWV resale in Feb and are staying OKW in June, BCV in Sept and now trying to go back in Jan at the BWV. Obviously to maximze our annual pass purchases. Your opinions and advice are welcomed. By the way we are still under the 7month window so only BWV owners have a shot at these prized standard view accomadations so far. Thanks for your help.

As of course you know, you just never know until you call. Standard views do tend to "disappear" before the preferred views, but since it is January and the 7 month window will not have opened, I think you have a good chance. My GUESS is that the 2 bedroom is more likely to be available than the 2 studios. Be sure to get on the waitlist if tommorrow's call isn't lucky for you. There's lots of time for it to work and people's plans do change. Good luck!

I agree with CarolMN but also want to stress that if a portion of your trip is available in the standard view, take it and wait list any other days. Take those days you can't get a standard in a prefered room. When the 7 month window opens, things may happen to open up your days. The other thing that may happen, which just happened to us in April is that they will upgrade you to prefered for your full stay when you check in.
