Does anyone know if the standard rooms at the Polynesian resort have a vanity area that is separate from the bathroom?

I just looked at the standard room layout on the Disney website and it looks like the sink is in the bathroom and there is no vanity area, but in the description it says there is a vanity area and separate bathroom.....

Any replys would be greatly appreciated! :D

Nope, all the vanities are in the bathroom (atleast that is the "rule"). Now, I have heard that Tokelau has a few different types of bathroom styles, and they may have a couple with the vanities outside of the bathroom.

We just stayed in Tokelau and the bathroom had one sink in the bathroom. it was not a separate area. There is counter space around the sink.

Cali is correct. Other than a suite the only rooms at the Polynesian that you will ever find a vanity or sink area out side the bath and toilet area is in Tokelau. There are a hand full of rooms in Tokelau that were used as experiments to try out different room designs. Some of these rooms included a vanity area, a double sink and a sink area out side the bathroom. I do not know the room numbers of these rooms and most CM’s at the Polynesian don’t even know they exist but they do. Tahiti and Rapa Nui have a double sink in the bathroom but nothing outside the bathroom. All the other longhouses have the standard single sink arrangement. The info on Disney’s web page is incorrect and they are aware of it. They just have not fixed it.

Thanks for the replys everyone!

I just find it weird that a moderate resort would have a vanity area but not a deluxe resort which you pay more to stay at.

Just stayed at the POFQ a few weeks ago and the room at a vanity area. Oh well. I love WDW so this isn't really an issue at all, I was just curious! :D

P.S I'm clapping my hands really hard for a DIS fairy to give me a title even though I don't have 75 posts yet! Maybe you could bend the rule for a die hard Disney fan?! Hint: I'm a Chirstmas Disney bride with a wedding date for Dec. 2003. ;)
