staff in room

hi ppl this may seem like a silly question but, why do staff members visit rooms, vmk zoo came into my room while i was in a trade, so i only saw the going of her, then two seconds later vmk mocha entered. they just chatted to ppl in the room i do not think anybody was told off about anything, i just did not like to ask why they were there,any ideas plz.thanks
