I am a 37 y.o. mom of 4 girls and as of last week at the doctor's office, weighed in at 161 lbs. (5'3" tall). That was it for me when I saw that scale.
I have been struggling for the last few years with weight gain and health issues and I just want to feel and look better. I can't do high impact exercise because I have pretty severe Fibromyalgia and am in pain daily (worse now that I'm heavier). But I can walk so I'll start with that and I will try to find some other low-impact things to incorporate in over time.
I have been limiting myself to 1500 calories per day since my doctor's visit last week and I don't think I've lost anything yet but I do feel better not being stuffed all the time and I am not having as hard of a time sticking to it as I thought I would.
I'm curious to see what the scale will show when I go back to the doc on Monday (as long as I haven't gained I'll be satisfied for now but I am really hoping to steadily lose over the summer).
I am looking forward to being able to read everyone's journals and milestones here as well ~ it is so nice to be able to support each other in something like this! Good luck to all of you and please wish me the same!
