Well we arrived at the fort this morning around 0800. I booked a site at Turkey Lake for last night. We drove in and crashed so we could get a head start on today. It was only $10 for a primative site. It was pretty cool so no need for a/c. I almost ruined the trip by forgetting to put in the slideout. I was pulling off and looked in the mirror and saw it out. I was about 5 feet from taking down a fence or the fence taking down my slide whichever was stronger.
Got to the fort and had to go to overflow after check in. Went over to the MK for a while and rode BTM, HM and SM. When we were leaving HM several castmembers were handing out lanyards with 2 pins (year of a million dreams) type.
Afterwards we came back and set up the camper. First time ever in the 1400 loop. I made shrimp and steak kabobs before we came and grilled those tonight. Stopped off at the bike barn to invite Miss Sundee for dinner which she accepted. Got to hear some FW history and enjoy a good conversation during our visit.
The campfire was packed tonight. People all over the place and no where to sit. Most of the loops are dressed up nicely with decorated sites. I saw one site where this guy had a ton of decorations up and he had a trailer with boxes full of more.
Still not a sign of Colson39. We did meet Surferrat who is from Jacksonville as well. I think Colson is an imaginary figure lol. We'll keep looking.
