Well we arrived at the fort this morning around 0800. I booked a site at Turkey Lake for last night. We drove in and crashed so we could get a head start on today. It was only $10 for a primative site. It was pretty cool so no need for a/c. I almost ruined the trip by forgetting to put in the slideout. I was pulling off and looked in the mirror and saw it out. I was about 5 feet from taking down a fence or the fence taking down my slide whichever was stronger.

Got to the fort and had to go to overflow after check in. Went over to the MK for a while and rode BTM, HM and SM. When we were leaving HM several castmembers were handing out lanyards with 2 pins (year of a million dreams) type.

Afterwards we came back and set up the camper. First time ever in the 1400 loop. I made shrimp and steak kabobs before we came and grilled those tonight. Stopped off at the bike barn to invite Miss Sundee for dinner which she accepted. Got to hear some FW history and enjoy a good conversation during our visit.

The campfire was packed tonight. People all over the place and no where to sit. Most of the loops are dressed up nicely with decorated sites. I saw one site where this guy had a ton of decorations up and he had a trailer with boxes full of more.

Still not a sign of Colson39. We did meet Surferrat who is from Jacksonville as well. I think Colson is an imaginary figure lol. We'll keep looking.

I am sooooooooooooo jealous!! I'll be pulling in next Thursday afternoon (11/29) & will be picking my brother (ntsammy5) up at Orlando airport at 1000 Friday am. Try to hold things down at the Fort 'til then!

Stacktester we stayed at Turkey Lake the first night when we were down inOctober. That was the first time for me . For the price you can't beat it! I'm going back down to see the Christmas lights at MK and MGM the first weekend in January. Can you tell me what you think of MK and MGM lights. The pictues that they show of the castle look awesome!
Thanks for the trip report and I look forward to more:)

I am so jealous right now. Fort Wilderness AND steak kabobs ?? How lucky can one person get ?? :confused3 I am up here with a high of 33 today and snow on the ground. Brrrr.

I am glad you are having fun...I'll be looking for your posts. :goodvibes

We just got back from Epcot around midnight. EMH are overrated lol. Test Track was down as usual and Soarin was an hour wait but we did it anyway. I have no idea why TT is down so much. It seems like every time we come we go over and it's down. The bus driver we had on the way back needs driving lessons. He kept speeding up and slowing down. I felt like jumping out the window. It was really that bad. Whiplash.

It's pretty nippy down here tonight Shannone. I don't think anywhere near 33 lol. They have a nice holiday throw blanket Shannone if you spend $50 or more it's only $15. The stores are full of ornaments and other decorating items.

We will be leaving on the 13th and I can hardly wait! For now I will be looking for your trip reports and wishing I was there. Last year I got one of the throws offered in the spent $$ get throw for $ and I love it. I say get a throw.:yay:  :cool1:

Sounds like you are having fun!!! I'll be down for a couple of days on the 6th for Mousefest!! Staying in resorts this time, but can't wait!!!!

Actually Scott I had to bring you up before your name was mentioned. Good thing I did or you might not have been remembered lol. Miss Sundee did say that your specialty is steak and baked potato and she always enjoys it when you and Patty come down.

How long are you there? Maybe we'll see you this coming weekend! Yeah, the Sabres just won!!!!!! I'm into the beer and vodka again!
