Stacie's Journey for Weight Loss and the 1/2 Marathon Jan 09!

Stacie, that is awesome you have lost 13 pounds. Congratulations! You are doing great, don't let an off day here and there with your running bother you. Think of how far you have come! Well done, you surely earned those new clothes, wear them proudly!:cool1:

:cool1: well done stacie on the 13lb loss
You so deserve it after all the hard work you've put in :)
AND we're on page 13 too ;)
The lake trail in Cary sounds good, it must be nice to be able to walk it with your DH.
Have a great week :)

Congratulations Stacie!

You have so much to celebrate. An awesome run. Picking up the walking pace. A huge weight loss. Fabulous new clothes. You should be very proud of yourself.

Take care,
Beth

Good Morning!!! Thanks guys for celebrating with me!!! :grouphug:

You know... Today just feels like it's going to be one of those days... I woke up ill and in a bad mood. TOM is knocking on the door. Matt drove to Cary like a bat out of , well, you know... I get to work, sit down and the stupid fire alarm goes off. It is sooo loud in my ear. Then we get word from some construction people it's just a test--no need to go out in the 30 degree weather...OMG.... Here it goes again! This is ridiculous! I will be deaf! ugh!

So, hopefully as the day goes on, my mood will impprove! I'm supposed to C25K tonight. I've not been able to master taking out my frustration on the pavement yet. I always just want to go to bed or just be lazy! :confused3

Ok--done venting...moving on...

On a positive note... I did aquacise last night. That went well. Between that and the C25K on Monday, My legs are a bit stiff. I tried to stretch really good Monday after the workout and then last night in the water...

Hope your day has started better than mine!!! :goodvibes

Have a good one! :upsidedow
Stacie

After all that negativity, I wanted to post something positive...and Disney related!!! :tinker:

Last week the Visa codes came out and I saved $150 for our trip in January!!! Whooo Hooo! :tigger:

Then... They released the codes to the "public" and I saved my BIL/SIL $250!!! :mickeyjum

I have been helping my BIL/SIL/DN on their trip and also my MIL/FIL, and Matt's grandparents plan their trips. My BIL...is going the last week of January and the "rents/g-rents" are going 1st of Feb...

Yipee!! Always love saving $$$$$

:ccat: :simba: :stitch: :donald: :dumbo: :sulley: :tigger: :goofy: :figment:

Sorry to hear about the rough start to the day! Hope things turn around quickly...look at it this way, starting out in a bad mood means you can only get better, right?

Congrats on the Disney savings! Codes RULE! Especially at a place like WDW where they are a tad bit overpriced on things :)

Good luck tonight with your C25K training...hope it goes well!

Hope you're feeling better, Stacie.

Saving money is always a good thing....Congratulations on the codes!:yay: :woohoo:

Have a great week!:goodvibes

HI guys! So yesterday after the fire alarm fiasco, my day did get better...only to backslide and get pretty bad after work. ugh! So, I'll spare you details and just say it was one of the worst afternoon/nights I've had in a while... :headache: So, NO C25K last night. :headache:

This is how I felt... :scared1:   :headache:  :guilty: :sad2: :sad1: :scared: :crazy2: :stir: :worried: :( :furious:

That's the best way I can describe it and I really don't want to relive it by typing it all, plus I don't want to put you all through my misery either! :flower3:

I am hoping to get in my workout tonight as soon as we get home...

Today has started out pretty good and it is going to be a good day! (it'd better or I might just kill somebody! :lmao: )

So I have a question for all you guys that do your workouts outside in the fall/winter. What do you wear??? Today when I get home, I plan to the C25K (as I mentioned) and it is going to be in the low 50s and I'm sure as the weeks progress it will get cooler... I just started doing my training outside so I'm not exactly sure what to wear in the winter time. Summer-easy. The least you get away with! :goodvibes But, Matt and I can't both run on the treadmill, well, I guess we could, but that might get interesting... so just wondering what you guys recommend? Thanks!!!

Hope everyone has a great day!
Stacie

I have to tell you guys what I did this morning...

So... you ready for this??? I just noticed that I put BOTH of my earrings in ONE ear!!! :rotfl: Can we say, Stacie was EXTREMELY tired this morning? and a little loopy??? OMG! I hope no one noticed!

Whew, what a crazy say so far!

Oh Stacie

Wow...sounds like yesterday was a very tough day. Hope you're doing ok!!!

But...I'll admit...I did laugh about the earrings. That is DEFINITELY a sign of being over tired!!!! :rotfl:

I hope you have a MUCH better day today. Good luck with your training tonight!

ohhhh....and about the winter running gear. Depending on just how cold it gets.....for cool temps (under 50) I"ll wear tights...long sleeve shirt....possibly running gloves...usually a hat. I'm wimpy LOL> Around 40 I'll add my fleece running vest. Anything around the freezing point I'll add my full fleece running jacket :). I HATE being cold!!!!!

Good effort with the earrings. I've put two contact lenses in the same eye before and been completely confused about why i couldn't see.

Well hopefully things might just be turning around for you this week. Sorry uv had a rubbish time yesterday but you can do it. Think how satisfying it will be to look back at this journey when your running 5km.

I've just come back from the gym and managed 15mins run 2 mins walk x2= 4.8km. Now i never thought i'd be saying that a few weeks ago so imagine how far you'll get in a couple of weeks. Good luck with run tonight

Hey Stacie,

I am sorry that you had such a horrible day yesterday. Today has to be better. I've had a day where I went the entire day with my shirt inside out, and no one told me.:confused3 :rotfl: At least you caught the earring.

I hope you have a great training session tonight. I don't run, but I do walk the dog in the winter. I layer. I have running tights, but my booty is too big to just wear those, so I'll throw shorts or sweats over them. Long sleeve tshirt with a vest or hoodie over it. When it gets really cold, I have a lined windbreaker. Any temps under 50 get a hat and gloves.

Hope that helps.

Beth

Good Morning guys!!! Hope everyone is having a great Friday.

Just popping in to say we did the C25K last night. It was successful! The last 30 sec of the last 5 min run, I kicked it! Matt tricked me though! Instead of telling me when 5 min was up, he finally told me to stop at 5 min, 30 sec!!! No wonder I was about to fall out!!! :goodvibes

Matt's dad has his hip replacment surgery today, so now working out today. My legs are bit stiff, so I'm ok w/ that. The plan is for Saturday to get in our C25K in the AM before visiting his dad in the afternoon.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!! :thumbsup2
Stacie

GREAT JOB on the running last night!!! :thumbsup2

Also...just wanted to send some good thoughts your way for Matt's dad and his surgery!!!! :goodvibes

Great job last night, don't think of it as Matt tricking you- he was giving you that extra push we sometimes don't give ourselves.

I hope Matt's dad does well.

Have a great weekend,
Linda

Congratulations Stace, you fit into the skinny clothes!! Sorry I haven't checked in in a while, but Congrats on 13 Pounds!!!:cheer2: That's awesome! I hate NY & Co., I call it the skinny store, I don't fit in anything there, I'm so jealous that you do!!

Hi Stacie, great job getting those runs in! And I am laughing about your two earrings in one ear. That is definitely the sign of a tired lady! Hope you are having a fun and relaxing weekend. Keep up the great work lady!

Great job on the running, Stacie.:thumbsup2

How's Matt's dad doing?

Hope you have a great Sunday!:goodvibes
