I thought I would pop over here to see which islands you were going to on your honeymoon. What a wonderful suprise, you will absolutely love it. There is so much to do on Oahu and then I have heard that Kauai is a wonderful place to kick back and relax, so you can have the best of both worlds. We just had a friend go to Kauai on his honeymoon in October and they said it was beautiful.
I just texted my sister, and she said it she said it was "Hau Tree Lani" Get an outdoor table if you can.
We spent most of our time on Maui, so I probally won't be too much help. But we really enjoyed the Dole plantation on Oahu, and watching the surfers at the pipeline.
In Kauai, my sister and I went on a diving trip which was awesome - if you don't dive, they have great snorkeling sites too. We also did this hike through the jungle and zipline across a river. It was really cool, but exausting and not very romantic.
You'll have a great time!
hey Stacey!
Great news about the honeymoon! thats so lovely of the parents, and so thoughtful even if you do know about it. Hawaii is very impressive!!!
Now i think you have already got some (Ryans mum got some?), but i just came accross these and they were really cheap, so i just thought i'd send you the link just incase! they are fans!

Anyways, hope you are okay!!!
Agreed!!!!WOOHOO For HONEYMOONS!
Hey Stacey! I know it was too bad we missed each other, and our next trip I think you'll be busy 8/2 - 8/9 lol! Hawaii sounds amazing!!!! Is Addison going to go with you or is it a couples trip??
Yeah, I'm going to be a little busy then (in HAWAII!) Hopefully one day we will get to meet up. Addison is staying with my parents, however, it is a possibility that they will fly over and meet up with us for the second week. Our time share in Kauai is a two bedroom, so we have plenty of room. Plus, I think one week away from her is enough. I miss her as it is while I'm at work!
Haha it sounds amazing, you will have a blast! And it's nice that you can meet up with your family after a little "couple" time too. Although, if Addison's grandparents are anything like mine were I am sure she will be spoiled while your away lol! My grandparents used to let me have somany snacks when they watched me lol! It was the best![]()
Stacey, I just finished reading your PJ and I love the gazebo. I hope that mother nature is nice and it isn't to hot on your wedding day. I think as long as your ceremony isn't more than 30 minutes and you have fans/water you should be ok (but I love the heat so I might just be a freak of nature) Addison is freakin' adorable as well! Best wishes to you!
OHHHHH cute idea for the cake!
same with my parents. They spoil her to death. She can have whatever she wants whenever she wants! Oh well! What can I do!?
haha, It's a grandparents right of passage I think! You just have to grin and bear it, but at least you know that Addison will have fun while you guys are on your honeymoon (and she won't be hungry lol)
Now the fans, those are gorgeous Stacey! All the colors will look amazing at SOG outside with all the pretty scenery behind it... you should think of having some sort of shot of the guests with the fans or the BM's and you peeking out from behind them. I bet it would be super sweet!
And yay for showers! Although I feel the same way about being the center of attention like that... I never know how to act. I feel like I am always very "not me" at things like that.![]()
Wow. Those fans are so pretty! Don't worry about the bright colors - You'll be outside, so it'll all blend in beautifully.(well unless they're like day-glow orange then you might have an issue) How nice to have in August!
So sweet that she bought you one too. You might be able to get some great pictures with it - even if you don't use it in the ceremony.
'bout the shower just put on someand pretend that it's just you and your friend - That's nice they're doing that for you. I know what you mean about feeling awkward about people watching you open up presents though...
About Hawaii - And seriously now you've done it - I was holding back because I didn't want to sound like an adventure junkie - which I so am.... Plus I'm at home and have my journal so I have details... So Ohau: Horseback riding at the Turtle Bay resort - it was really nice and the views were gorgeous. Also, since we're "advanced" riders, they let us set up our own time where we could canter and trot. We even got to gallop! It was awesome They also have a sunset ride with dinner I believe. Very nice resort - all activities are open to the public. The other thing we did in the north shore - and since you want to know about the zipline, I'll share, cuz you sound adventurous) is www.hawaiisharkadventures.com it's a bit pricey - but it was one of coolest things we did all trip! (And we did a lot!)
Do the helicopter in Kauai (and Blue Hawaiian company if you can). Much prettier vistas! We were on a cruise and went through them for the zip-line. I looked, but I don't have the tour operator written down in my notes. Very unlike me - sorry. In Kauai we hiked the Waimea canyon - canyon trail and did a whale watching cruise - we were there in December.
If you have any questions feel free to ask -I'm a total travel nerd and keep tons of notes. But I'll stopyour PJ for now...
