I also haven't found a cake topper I like. I told my mom I was probably just going to do the monogram, possibly just an 'A' and not even our first initials. I found one that is art deco font, but I'm not sure, I still feel like there must be some other cake topper out there that I would like better that I just haven't found.

Congrats on finishing the take out boxes in record time! That's awesome!

Thanks, we really were dreading those boxes and it wasn't near as bad as we though. I think the monograms are nice. It would go nice with your art deco stuff. It was my mom who doesn't like it. But I've liked it on all the ones I have seen. I guess I will still look for a cake topper also but have this is as my back up. Let me know if you find one you like, maybe we have the same taste when it comes to cake toppers!

I love the fans- and its so great they are hand painted- the colours are lovely! The pink is so niceeeee!! (well i would say that being a pink lover!)

The colours of those dresses are so nice, they look so pure and pretty. YAY!

I cant believe those chinese take out boxes- they look wicked- i cant belive you have so many! At least your guests can fill them right up! (i would hehe)

I saw those cake cutters on the knot and i thought they were too good to be true with those prices- $10 is just - well you'd be silly not to! Now i know they are good, i think i just might order the knifes, hopefully they are still in stock! That knot website have some stupidly good deals on there dont they!!

Thanks! I was really afraid that the serving set was going to be horrible and cheap because it was only $10, but I was surprised. They are quite heavy and nice. I was impressed and recommend it to anyone looking for one. I'm glad you like the fans. I don't think the pictures do them justice though.

The favor boxes weren't near as hard as I thought they were going to be. We were going to use normal double sided tape but I found some adhesive dispenser at a craft store so I thought we would try it, and it worked amazingly!

Oh, and my mom has been lurking, so HI MOM!

Steal away. It has been fun creating a candy bar, I hope my guests enjoy it. We made 145 boxes. They were pretty inexpensive to begin with. The biggest expense is the candy. We got a TON of it, I"m still scared it's not going to be enough.

I will go find it and let you know the name of it. I got it from Joann fabrics, not sure if they are a florida store or if they are elsewhere. It's in a blue dispenser it was by the scrapbooking stuff. If you make the mickey fans, I would love to see a pic of how they turn out!

I just have to say, I'm going to meet with a florist tomorrow. I have no idea what I really want. I think for centerpieces I like the tall ones. My bouquet, I have NO idea. I will let you all know how it goes tomorrow.

Ryan comes home 1 week tomorrow I'm super excited. AND only 33 days of school left. I love my class this year They are fantastic, I just can't wait for summer though!!!!

You should write down all the different colour combos you might like or your favourite flowers and styles of centerpieces and bouquets you like so the florist can have an idea of what you want so they can show you samples? I hope it goes okay!!

Thanks for the tip on the florist. Good idea. I'm so scattered I have NO idea what I want. I actually think it's more that I don't mind what I have, so I'm too flexible. Ryan is finally home and it has been great! Addison and I both missed him a ton!!! She gets so hyper and silly around him!

I can't believe it's coming so fast. My shower at school is on Thursday. I'm excited about it. I think my fellow third grade teachers are putting a lot of effort in to it. I will take pics so I can post them!

My wedding shower at school was yesterday. It was perfect. My third grade team did an amazing job. I got quite a bit. A rice cooker, fondue pot, slow cooker, just to name a few and a lot of gift cards. Oh and my team got me a Mickey Minnie bride/groom bobble heads. They are very cute, it was Ryan's favorite gift.

I was so nervous though. My hand were shaking while I was opening the gifts. It made me wonder how I'm going to be on my wedding day in front of all those people. But it also finally sunk in that I'M GETTING MARRIED! I can't believe it! Anyway, I didn't take many pictures but here are a few!

Oh! I forgot to tell everyone about our first dance song. Ryan and I talked about this about a month ago for the first time. Our song is Groovy Kind of Love by Phil Collins and Ryan didn't want that. So, I started looking at other options. I really liked "Flying without wings" by Westlife, he liked "when you say you love me" by Josh Groban.

Then, our song came on the radio the other night while I was driving and I realized how PERFECT it is for us, it's totally meant to be. So I came home and told him, that is going to be our first dance and he agreed. Now, we just need to take some dance lessons so we don't look like complete idiots. Any tips Sam!?

I'm still deciding on a Father/Daughter dance. I really like the Cinderella song, but I cry every time I hear it and I don't know if I can keep it together during it for the wedding. We will see!!!!

Your shower looks like fun! Glad you got through it! Don't worry about the wedding day. Once you see Ryan, you'll forget that all those other people are there. IMO, the shower is the worst part as far as being the center of attention, you can't hide behind DF

And I think "groovy kind of love" will be a great first dance song!!

I agree with you about "Cinderella" I coudln't keep it together either. If we do father daughter dance, we'll probally do it to Darius Rucker's "It won't be like this for long" (we have a really weird inside joke involving Hootie and the Blowfish, so it works for us) but I know it's not out there 'cuz it's concidered country (though I don't think it is very country-y)so I thought I'd throw it out there for you.
