Hiya
we are leaving on Saturday morning, on the 7am train from St Pancras. Just wondered of anyone can tell me who has been there what shops/restaurants etc and whether you think they will be open at that time in the morning (6ish)
Thanks

We arrived there on Boxing Day at around 9am and there was very little open. M&S Food, W H Smith and a coffee shop, that was it I think. Now this might be partly because it was a Bank Holiday, though I have to say there seemed to be a lot of shops that didn't seem to be up and running at all! Boots and Body Shop were the only ones I recall as looking like they might open on a normal day, probably not as early as 6am though :sad2:

OK, that leads me to my next question then lol - whats the food like on the train?

Can't say I've ever tried it, as I always assumed it would be a lot of money, for not a lot of food! My recommendation would be to do as we did, and buy sandwiches, snacks and drinks much cheaper from the M&S Food Store.

Oops, just noticed you are taking a 7am train, not sure how early M&S would be open. A search of the M&S web site found this

Seems like they open at 7am every day but Sunday - what time does your train actually leave?
