I have a DS 9, DS 7 and DD4 - my older kiddies are interested in this excursion. My DD would NOT enjoy sitting and watching her big brothers. Any input to whether this excursion is worth doing - all day - splitting up the family?

We just did this excursion in December. My DS 10 and DD 8 really enjoyed it. Your daughter can participate if she wants. Everyone wears a lifejacket. There are other things to do. They do a presentation with birds and turtles and eveyone has a chance to interact with them. The beach is beautiful but the current is a little rough. I would not let my kids in the water without us. The beach is not crowded. I would say only 20-30 people are there at a time. The lunch is good. There is a bar and a gift shop. I personally would not split up. Oh I forgot, you can also swim with the stingrays and feed them.

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions let me know.

There have been many other posts about this excursion. We did this last April, IMO it was not worth the money, the place was filthy, and my DD was totally grossed out with everything except the 1/2 we spent with the dolphins. The stingray tank, disgusting, the crab races and everything else there, a waste of time. The beach UNBELIEVABLY beautiful, that was the saving grace of the day. The lunch, so so, the people who worked there, SO NOT FRIENDLY! This excursion cost us around $450 if I remember correctly. We could have had MUCH MUCH more fun with that money. But, there are many people here who have differing opinions, so to each their own.

Well.... I am still undecided - but I appreciate the input - especially the contradiction in opinions. I will not split up my family for the day though - I am glad to hear the beach part would be worth the trip. THANKS
