I will give her a hug!
She actually read another poem someone had sent us at both of Jim's memorials, people were so amazed she was so poised and was able to do it....me on the otherhand, I couldn't even get through my thank you to everyone without sobbing.
PM'd you..

Trust me, if there had been a service for my dad there is no way I could have spoken. I read Andy's piece before I mailed it to you and Judy and I was sobbing.

Here is today's photo.

You all know the rules, first person to get person right gets a point, location, park, etc.

Andy dedicated his last school article for the newspaper to my dad; I'd post it here but it is too hard to read when scanned; I cry every time I read it...and it has a place of honor on my refrigerator.

Oh my, I'm sure the paper must be wonderful and touching....I'd love to read it too!

not to highjack your thread, but this is a poem Megan wrote a few months after Jim died...

The Candle That Always Glows

this candle is there all the time it never goes out.
even if the person who lit it is gone, it still glows.
every day, every night it glows and glows and glows.
even when you go it will still glow, big and bright.
light all night, you're the candle that always glows.
never goes out and always is bright.
please always glow for me.

she is bringing this weekend to Camp Erin (grief camp) to share with everyone! always so amazed with her strength!

Beautiful

what an amazing young lady!

It is so nice that the boys were close to your dad. My DD has that in my parents and I hope she realizes some day how lucky she is.

Kathy!
You posted the contest too early today - dang it! Now I have to start stalking you earlier in the day! :lmao: :rotfl:

Thanks, tink.

jen, a lot of kids don't have the advantage of living near and getting to know their grandparents; I am so glad that mine did.

I am off the next two days and Mark and I are going to a baseball game tomorrow and outlet shopping on Friday. So I'm not sure whta time of day contest photos will be up. Perhaps early a.m. before we leave or late afternoon/evening when we get home. :)

Have fun! Enjoy your time off!:cool1:

i was also going to add that in the toontown one, it was in the days of the fair, whenthey had the great stage show, but have since taken it away and made it character greeting only.

:sad2:

i loved that show growing up.

when you were growing up????? And no - I am not going to make the expected "when did you grow up comment" I'm going to make the "geez - I went there on my honeymoon" comment along with the "when did I get so old" comment :guilty:

Your thread moves way too fast for my cave-man brain...and archaic work computer! I can't even see the pics you posted yesterday and today because the firewall on this thing filters them out!

I want to read the column that Andy wrote but I know I will sob like a baby! I cried about a recent funeral that I wasn't even AT when I heard about the speeches being made...and this was about a man I'd only met once in my life! :sad2:

This is the slowest work day every! 2 minutes to go and I swear, it's been this way for like an hour!

Here ya' go Marv - do you turn red or cry when you have your tantrum? :rolleyes1

Tanya, I LOVE it.

Hey everyone....slow down; we're going to fast for Ali. Seriously, it should be slowing down because I'm drawing this thing out until we leave. I may post a "new" thing to do or try at each park just to pass the time.

If you want the article, PM me your address and I'll send (I'm leaving the office in 20 minutes and won't be back until Monday). Yes, you will cry!

Lol, sorry! We are at CSR for a long weekend...THIS WEEKEND!!! We plan to make a day of it Monday after check-out. I'll be back online Tuesday!

Now I get it. DUH!!!! I really need these four days off.

I hope you, Anakin, and the rest have a wonderful time. Please sit in my hammock for me and enjoy your stay at the CSR. :goodvibes
