Darn it, I didn't realized you'd updated, and I got all behind.:headache:

We want to try Kona for breakfast, Via Napoli, Captain's Grill, Ohana (for dinner...don't like Stitch so we won't do breakfast), possibly Tusker House for the Nemo seating and Wolfgang Puck Express. We'd also like to go back to either Mama Melrose or 50's Prime Time and possibly LeCellier.

Please let me know which one(s) you prefer and why. Thanks. :goodvibes

I know you've already gone through all this, but I'll chime it: Love Ohana, do it every trip, Love Kona for breakfast (or lunch or dinner:lovestruc), love 50's PT, but next time we'll probably just pop in to the bar for dessert. Le Cellier is awesome, and lunch would be good since you can still do it for 1 credit. Would love to try Via Napoli. Not too much interest in Captains Grill (isn't it 2 credit, anyway?) or Mama Melrose. Haven't done Tusker House since it went TS.

This leaves us 2 table service credits each. We are down to these choices:

LeCellier (lunch)

Liberty Tree Tavern (late lunch--Mark's request if we can't decide on anything else; I won't do dinner, don't care for "Thanksgiving" meal)

Coral Reef (lunch or dinner)

Captain's Grille (dinner)

Grand Floridian Cafe (late lunch or dinner)

Mark was not impressed with Ohana menu so that is off the list. Also, Nicki, Mark did not like the Wave menu.

So, I'd appreciate if you would all vote for two to help me out here.

Thanks, DIS friends.

Of those, I think I'd go with GF Cafe for sure, that's been on my list to try. Couldn't go wrong with Le Cellier. We haven't been to Coral Reef in a few years. Didn't have the best experience there, but I may be ready to try it again.

I LOVE the story about Markie's flat tire and the wrestling dad. What an awesome gesture!

Man you guys got dumped on! We were supposed to get it too, but you can see by my pics on my TR that we got lucky. Only about 3 inches in the St.Louis area, although about 30 minutes north of us they got 16 inches. The kids have been off school all week (I know, for 3 inches!:sad2: but we did get a lot of ice), and I'm really hoping they go back tomorrow!

I think I'd need a long soak in a hot tub after shoveling that kind of snow!

well we did get a little sun today thanks for sending it our way, and we had that same nasty cold here as well.

at least our roads are getting cleared up some.
:rolleyes1 i say that loosly

Wow that was alot of snow Kathy!!! Coming from the Buffalo area I have seen more snow than I care too !!This time we weren't too bad and Kyle plowed out the driveway for us , my shovelling days are over !!!:rotfl2:I'll use 'Slimedung " as an excuse :lmao::lmao:

:rotfl2: Yes, lets all meet for Hibachi! It was sooooo good too! Right by the beach but when we left it was too dark to take a stroll. We will see you soon babe...warm weather is right around the corner for you!

Thanks... but, yes, let's ALL meet for hibachi! Sounds good.

Nope no drinks for me...the entire table was from Chicago...it was hysterical! The lady next to us drank 2 of those Mai Tai's and she was looped! I was THIS close to trying sushi...maybe next time.

Mai Tais can be killers! And, Nic, go for the sushi...start out with something like sweet potato tempura; no raw fish but you get the idea.

Great pics Kathy!

Now you need 4 more storms like that to catch up to us!! :lmao::lmao:
:lmao::lmao:

I'm glad you didn't get as hard as you thought. I'm hoping this is the END for us.

I hate dirty snow more than I hate clean snow. I hope your ice wasn't too bad.

So, did you go meet Nicki for dinner? :lmao::lmao:

Ours is such a princess. This wind is driving her a little batty now; last night she slipped on the ice. It was quite comical (only because she didn't hurt herself).

Thanks, Tim. But I am hoping this is it for us...once is more than enough.

Not only half term, but your trip is coming up. :woohoo::woohoo:

:rotfl2::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Poor puppy...the winter weather is hard on everyone! I hope that its the only big storm for you guys this year. :goodvibes

You move so quick over here Kathy! I can't keep up!

I have a neat story to share with you.

Markie's team that he is coaching in Dubuque had their Conference Championship this weekend in Cedar Rapids, IA (it's about a 90 minute drive from Dubuque). One of the school vans was being used for another sport (excuse me, it's wrestling season...there is NO other sport), so Markie had to take his car (my car) and drive some of the kids. He got a flat tire about a half mile away and pulled off the road. One of the dad's was following behind and helped to change the tire to the spare tire. The spare also had a small leak, but they were able to get to the school where they were wrestling.

The dad told Markie to give him the keys and he'd go get the tire fixed while the kids were weighing in, waiting for brackets to be done and working out to get ready for the competition. So the dad takes the car, gets the tire fixed and starts driving back to the high school where the wrestlers are. Believe it or not, the tire goes low again. He turns around and drives back to the shop and says the tire is going out again. The guy at the store says, "let's look at it again." The dad says, "forget it; just put four new tires on the truck."

Can you believe it? He bought four brand new tires for MY car (which my son is currently keeping from me). Markie tried to pay him something and he wouldn't take it. These people take REALLY good care of my son. :goodvibes

This is a fantastic story!!!! You must be so proud of Markie. He truly is making a positive impact on those kids' lives!!!

And WOOT for new tires too!!!

I didn't realize you got bombed with snow, I can't keep up on the weather or the DIS apparently! ;) I should call my brother and tease him (he's over in Bolingbrook in case you didn't remember). He hates snow! We, like Tim, got a bit of ice-but it wasn't too bad and it's mostly gone now. Hopefully NO MORE for the rest of the season!!!!

I have looked out my window to a white covered ground before, but never to anything like this. I will be grateful for our 2-3-4 inches that we get every once in a while. We're so ready for spring down here after our 'rough' winter, but we have only had a tiny fraction of the craziness so many of you guys have had. You'd make great fun of us and the way things come to a grinding halt over two inches of snow around here. ;)

The tire story is awesome. I love hearing about people doing such good deeds for others. I would also say that it speaks volumes about how your boy is treasured by the people he works with, so I know that makes you incredibly proud.

Poor Cookie. All that snow can't be fun for her. It's funny, she looks sort of like a stuffed dog Landon has. Landon likes to chew the ears.

Glad to see you made it through the storm okay. I haven't turned on the weather lately since it is starting to get pretty depressing that we are getting snow every few days. Hopefully, the worst is over for you guys.

We are expecting more snow tomorrow and maybe 2 days next week. I have gotten used to having Caitlin home at least 2 days during the week.

Poor Cookie. One of my dogs hates the snow. There is a bunch of ice that is melting right onto our side stairs were we let the dogs out and everytime she goes out she slips down the stairs.

Hi Kathy!

Looking at your pictures is like looking outside here....:lmao:If we get much more snow this year I'm not sure where the city will put it...I told Jasmine when she's home from the cruise I want to drive out to where they dump the snow for the south end of the city and take a picture....it's huge!!!

Jasmine told me to let you know she'll be waving as the descend into Chicago this afternoon:hug: Hope you're keeping well!

Your snow pictures are RIDICULOUS!!!! We have always been good for a few good storms this year but instead we are passing it all along to CT and NJ :rolleyes1

I am sure Florida is looking really good to you right about now!! :goodvibes

Tracy

If I had to vote, kathy, I'd say, GF for lunch and a Capt's Grille for dinner. I haven't tried either one, but those 2 places always get such great reviews and the menus look like there's a little something for everyone.

UGH on the shoveling, I do NOT miss that! Glad to see you dug yourselves out but poor little Cookie!

Hi, everyone. I'll do invidiual responses tomorrow as I'm too wiped out tonight if I need to be whitty or anything. Just got home an hour ago from working at the high school all day for the Regional Wrestling Tournament (this is the school where both our kids went). I was in charge of writing out the brackets all day long (that's a lot of writing). And the "good guys" won their 12th Consecutive Regional Championship (to go along with their 13th Consecutive Conference Championship last weekend).

One of those mai tai's and I WAS looped.

G'mornin' Kathy!

Update done, dishes finally in the dishwasher, bed stripped, fire is going.... time to sit and catch up!

I can't believe how much snow you all got!! Amazing!! That snowblower must be a hot commodity these days!

Glad the bulk of the storm is over.

And I gotta ask, did you have a drinky-poo?? Did it keep you toasty warm??

We got another three inches this morning. Yes, I had a drinky-poo (or two). ;)

Darn it, I didn't realized you'd updated, and I got all behind.:headache:

Thanks for your thoughts on various restaurants. I am taking everyone's thoughts into account.

It was a great story about the tires. :)

Believe me, I had a long soak in the tub with candles and a glass of wine.

well we did get a little sun today thanks for sending it our way, and we had that same nasty cold here as well.

Good job, Kyle. I'm sick of winter.

Thanks... but, yes, let's ALL meet for hibachi! Sounds good.

Cookie definitely doesn't like the snow and I don't think she is feeling very good either.
