I really should have sent one to every DISFriend I have , and had a contest on who could do the best whip pic. We could have gone with a caption contest, and everything. Someone could have taken it to Aloha Isle and done a "dole whip" picture.

I'm not sure that's a contest you want to "win".

How awesome that your work friend gave you such a good deal on the points (amazing that she was just going to give them away!) I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to stay there. I think I actually COULD stay there and not have a Savannah room. The resort itself is so gorgeous. But sitting on the balcony and just relaxing with a glass of wine while the animals grazed would be truly amazing

Yes, Mark is 58 tomorrow....four years from tomorrow is the goal to be on our way to Florida. I am taking the laptop with me because the hotel has free wi-fi, but if we go to the casino, I might be too tired to get on andn we are leaving early Sunday morning to get home for the Bears game.

I am taking the laptop with me because the hotel has free wi-fi, but if we go to the casino, I might be too tired to get on andn we are leaving early Sunday morning to get home for the Bears game.

A bit wordy but gets the point across!

So a gal I work with informed me that she owned DVC and had several hundred points in a bank that she hadn't used and she would be more than happy to let Mark and I have some of those points. I told her we couldn't just "take" the points, but that we would pay for them. She kept on insisting she didn't want to charge us. Now, I've known her for years, but we aren't close friends, we are just work associates and we have lunch in the cafeteria from time to time. So we agreed to an amount (a lot less than we would get if we tried to go to the DVC board and tried to rent points) and she booked us two nights at the AKL in Jambo with a savannah view.

Wow! That is fantastic! Serious pixie dust!

And Boma breakfast. Droooooooool. So, so delicious. I am tempted every single trip to book that one.

AKL has tons of happenings around the resort. Near Boma there is a glass case with the daily events and the times. I know there is a culinary tour (free) in Jiko. At night they have a CM with night vision goggles out on the rock so you can view the animals too.
