Sssh....don't tell anyone...we're cheating on CSR -- Contest -- Days 6 & 7--#3516

Well, we've had lots of DIS meets, a half day at the AK and a half day at the Studios, Extra magic hours in the evening at the MK, MNSSHP with two little urchins, some quality time at Epcot, some great meals (hopefully), some relaxing time at the AKL, shopping at DTD and pool time at the CSR. And all of this brings us to our last day before driving to Marco Island and our time with our bestest friends, Nicki and Todd.

So Thursday, September 29, will start with me getting up early (do you see a pattern here ;)), and I'll shower and finish any last minute packing. We'll load the car with the luggage and we will leave our "home" resort (we'll have express check out). We'll drive to the Poly and go to Kona for breakfast -- I am NOT missing it this year. After breakfast, we'll drive over to the MK and do whatever attractions we missed or want to do again, including some of these:

We have a lunch reservation at our normal "last meal of the trip" at the Plaza. I am so happy I added a day and we can eat here on our last day as has been our tradition for years now.

After the Plaza lunch, we will use up an last snack credits and shopping. I'll then find a young child to give a balloon to in memory of my dad as I have the last three trips.

Then it will be time to drive to Marco Island and our special time with our very special friends.

Your last day at Disney sounds just perfect Kathy and you can't be too sad about leaving because you'll be going on to see Nicki and Todd :)

What a wonderful way to spend your last Disney day, ending it with the Plaza and then off to see your "long lost" sister!
Do you have a plan for the Marco days as well, or are you going to do it "Todd's way"? (This is our new expression for "go with the flow"! :rotfl2:)

Looks like a wonderful last day plan! I'm so glad you were able to add a day. And with the added bonus of Kona and The Plaza!

It looks like you have a wonderful last Disney day planned. I can't think of anything that could make it any better.

I'm sure I have said it before but I love that you give a child a balloon in memory of your father. It is such a nice way to honor your dad and give a child a happy memory.

looks like i missed an anniversary and a birthday, hope they were both great, and many more years for you too together.

Hi Kathy!
Getting caught up … everything looks great as usual.

There are lots of good counter service options at animal kingdom. You could even try the counter service yak & yeti if you still feel like Asian. We really like it and it's a ton of food!!

I like this idea, but will add this -- split a counter service at Y&Y and move over to FT and do the same. That way you get the best of both.:goodvibes

Loved MNSSHP! You will have so much fun especially being with Mary and her family. Hey -- you both could go as Romeo and Juliet!! :rotfl2:

Love TSM .... but TOT? Don’t know if I could get on this again, Sam and I rode this last year, and we were truly terrified!! It amazed me to look around and see the young kids on the ride and they are laughing!! I’ll take RnR anyday over this ride!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I am just picturing ALL of us running the show at Disney! Now that would be something! :lmao: :goodvibes :lmao:

We'd be GREAT ... we know everything about Disney, don't we ?? :)

Thanks, Stefy. As much as we both love Disney, we both love Marco Island too (yes, Nicki...and you too!).

I think Nicki will definitely be in charge of our Marco dinner plans. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Although by the time we get there it is off-season so I don't think it is too difficult to get into places.

Kona had been in the plans, but glad to make the Plaza our last meal. :)

Thanks, Diane...I think it will be a great last day.

And thank you for saying that about us giving the balloon in memory of my dad.

Dan, I am SO happy you are back (I've missed you picking on Marv with me ;) ). Thanks for the anniversary wishes for us and birthday wishes for our son. Can't wait to hear about Hawaii.

Thanks, Janet. Now there is a thought on Yak & Yeti and Flame Tree. I may have to give that very careful consideration.

We loved MNSSHP last year and can't wait to do it again this year. Romeo & Juliet -- if only I could get my DH to dress up (and you think he would with all the hats he tries on).

We love TSM and I LOVE TOT and will never, ever do RnR again (just too hold for those types of roller coasters anymore :rotfl2::rotfl2:).

Your last day plans sound great! The Plaza really is a perfect end of trip meal. And your balloon tradition is beautiful.

I'm glad you've worked in the Plaza as the last meal again. Does this mean you'll be going to the Plaza twice this trip, or did you change the ADR earlier in the week?

I think the balloon tradition sounds really cool, too. I'm sure that will make some lucky little kid very happy.

What a sweet gesture with the balloon for your Dad. It's a very special way to honor him.

I love the tradition of giving a balloon in memory of your Dad! You know- I've never eaten at the Plaza. I HAVE TO try to fit that in one of these days because I have heard nothing but good things about it.
Your last day plans sound great!!! :goodvibes

Sounds like a great last day and I am glad to hear you guys will be able to eat your traditional last day meal too :thumbsup2

I think your balloon tradition is so sweet, what a great idea

Looks like a great last day in Disney! It's sad that you have to leave Disney, but at least you get to look forward to hanging out with Nicki and Todd for a while!

Whenever you mention your dad and the balloon tradition I get very teary eyed

I cannot wait for you guys to get here! No way is Todd going to pick the restaurants, unless you want to eat at DaRuMa every night!

Did you want to go back to the Dock? That is the place, well, on the dock :rotfl: I know we said to skip Kellys this time so I will do some thinking on it and come up with more seafood restaurants on the water of course!

Just got the new laptop and of course we had to get a new router, modem, battery pack and everything else under the sun...still trying to get used to it, the keyboard is so different. Now I am back online and ready to catch up on everything I have been missing around here!

Hi Kathy and Nicki, Just butting in here but how about the Turtle Club at Vanderbilt Beach? Loved, Loved tables right on the sand with the sun setting in the background. Have a good night you two. Elaine

Hey Kathy! Do you have chapter links somewhere that I might have missed? As I much as I love all of the banter 100+ pages is a lot to catch up on. If not, no worries - I will just skim and speed read!
