Great plans!! I wish I could think of some fun costume ideas for when we go at the end of October...but I am just not that creative :rotfl:

I will be up early -- 6 a.m. and will get showered and dressed and then wake Mark up. While he is showering, I will walk to the Pepper Market (if raining, I'll drive the car over) and get my cappucino and Mark's coffee. We'll have some cereal in the room for Mark since he has to eat something with his medication.

Sounds like a plan! I've never been to Pepper Market though, is it a food court?

Once we're done with Mark's breakfast and we are ready to go, we will drive over to the Animal Kingdom for Extra Magic Hours. Our plans now are to eat at Yak & Yeti for lunch at 11:30 before heading over to Epcot. I'm still toying with this one. We really enjoyed Yak & Yeti when we went back in 2008 and we've been wanting to go back since. But we have more table service restaurant meals than we have credits, so I'm thinking we might cancel this one and just eat at Flame Tree which was closed when we were there last year and an all-time favorite of ours. We probably won't decide until we get there and cancel it the day before.

I'm curious to hear how you like Y&Y. Our experience was good apart from me getting glutened! Everyone else loved their food though. The atmosphere is very unique, I loved it.

I've actually heard better things about Flame Tree BBQ though.

So we'll head to Epcot and try to fet a Fast Pass for Soarin' and then do a few attractions before we have our 5:45 dinner at Via Napoli. This is one I do not want to cancel and we are both really looking forward to it. After dinner, we will tour as many countries as we can until the park closes.

Soarin' is a must do for us every trip. We love it! I've never done Via Napoli, I hope you have a great time there. I love touring the countries, particularly at night. It looks so gorgeous all lit up!

The next day, Tuesday, September 27, I'll be up at 6:30 a.m. and we'll do the same routine as yesterday morning, although Mark won't be getting breakfast. ;) We'll heave over to Epcot for their EMH's in the a.m. First, we'll get Fast Passes for Soarin' and then ride it right away. After we ride Soarin', we will have breakfast at Sunshine Seasons. We will then tour Epcot until around 12:30 and then head back to the resort for a swim/nap and get into our costumes (if we do costumes) for the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at the MK.

I think Sunshine Seasons look so bright and cheerful. We've yet to dine there though.

Oooh, what costumes are you considering??

Prior to heading over to the MK for the party, we will be meeting MaryAZ and her family, including Cayley and Avery, for dinner at the Captain's Grille at The Yacht Club. We've been wanting to try this for years and I mentioned it to Mary and she didn't have any "nicer" meals planned with Grandma and Grandpa, so we thought this would be a good one and then we'd all be together before we head to the party since we planned on doing the party with the two Princess girls! Hopefully, Grumpy/Romeo and I can make it to the end of the party.

Aw, how fun! I've heard such great things about Captain's Grille. I'm sure you'll all have a wonderful time together. The party will be all the more fun with little princesses tagging along.:goodvibes

Great plans Kathy! :thumbsup2

Yak and Yeti always looks so good. I tried to squeeze it in but couldn't manage it. I would be happy if you eat here b/c I want to see the pictures:thumbsup2

Captain's Grill was very nice. It was nice and quiet, so it will be a great place to eat with friends so you can catch up.

Flame Tree BBQ seems like a good alternative to Yak & Yeti. I've never been to Yak & Yeti, but with Via Napoli coming right up that night, a counter service meal might be better anyway.

All the plans sound great- MNSSHP, riding Soarin' before breakfast, and dinner at Captain's Grill. :thumbsup2

Great plans. I can't help with where to eat at AK though. We've only eaten in the park once and I think it was at pizzafari, which was good too. I would love to try all the other places as well though.

Kathy, I love the picture of you and Markie! You look drop dead gorgeous in that black outfit! Time goes so fast doesn't it?

I didn't know you were in a one bedroom, those new style one bedrooms they have at AKV, BLT are so nice, we stayed in one at the Grand Californian in Disneyland and they are so spacious. They are nicer than my house for goodness sake!

Captain's Grille will be perfect for your group that night, we love having dinner at the YC.

I am crossing my fingers for pixie dust that Nicki and Todd make it to the AKL with you guys that would be so fun!

All your trip plans sound great, we love Flame Tree but we have yet to try Yak and Yeti and so want to based on your reviews!

I leave for WDW on Monday, am sick and have a two day garage sale to pull off (I need my cocktail money for WDW lol) tomorrow and Saturday so if I don't make it on here for awhile just know I haven't jumped ship. Dan and I plan to have dinner at Pepper Market on June 16th so think of us on that night!

Great looking plans for those days, Kathy! How neat you get to party with the girls! They are so cute!

I've only heard great things about the Captains Grille- I hope it treats you well! And you KNOW how I feel about the Y&Y. Stay away from those wontons dessert thingys and you'll be good to go. Unless you get a hankering for the pulled pork at FT! YUM!! I missed going there so much last trip.

I htink you'll make it to the end of the party! Too exciting to leave early, right?

I definitely think we will keep Yak & Yeti since we both really liked it. And I'm okay with staying away from the wontons because I don't like them. I remember when we went to Y&Y in 2008 we took our desserts to go because we were all stuffed.

Kathy, I may sound like a broken record but I just love your PTR's and TR's...every time it makes me feel almost there. I can see it all, almost smell the food - it's wonderful!! Thank you!! :goodvibes

Know what you mean about FTBBQ - I missed it one year too and had to get over there the next trip - it's a definite favorite. :thumbsup2

Rosie did not have good luck with the ribs the only time she tried it, but hopefully she will have better luck on our birthday trip.::yes::

(uh..the laundry...you could have quite the business going there, if you could charge for your services;)!!)

Christine, you are so sweet. I'm finding it harder and harder to stretch out this PTR (I should have never fall under the pressure of the guys to start so early) as I still have 3 months and 3 weeks until our trip.

I love Flame Tree but I think it will wait until next trip.

Yes, I would definitely charge for the laundry services.

Great Plans Kathy!!!!

Thanks, Rosie. Hope you are having a grand time in Lake George.

Great plans!! I wish I could think of some fun costume ideas for when we go at the end of October...but I am just not that creative :rotfl:

Oh believe me, Shannon, I am the least creative person on the planet. Mark hates dressing up too so that doesn't help.

I want to meet Nicki!!! Come the 24th and 25th!!! Please!!!

I want her to come too, Mary, and told her she would love you and the girls. But it looks as if she is on call that weekend. :sad2:

Sounds like a plan! I've never been to Pepper Market though, is it a food court?

Yes, it is the food court at the Coronado (it's a little different than most food courts, but the food is made fresh and very good.

I'm curious to hear how you like Y&Y. Our experience was good apart from me getting glutened! Everyone else loved their food though. The atmosphere is very unique, I loved it.

You really must try Sunshine Seasons on your next trip.

Oooh, what costumes are you considering??

Just pirate hats of some sort (we'll find them at the "dump shop" after riding POTC.

Thanks, Molly.

Diane, then I will make you happy because we aren't cutting Y&Y.

I'm glad you enjoyed Captain's Grille; that helps me know I made a good choice.

We loved the MNSSHP last year -- so much fun; and it'll be even better with the girls.

Great plans. I can't help with where to eat at AK though. We've only eaten in the park once and I think it was at pizzafari, which was good too. I would love to try all the other places as well though.

We've never done Pizzafari; the smell of Disney pizza just makes me

Hi, Amy. I wondered wshere you've been. Thanks for the compliment on the dress; and, yes, time goes way too fast.

If I don't see you here before you leave, hope you guys have a great time!

Yak and Yeti sounds great! I'd like to try it sometime, but my boys are not adventurous eaters. I've eaten at Captain's Grille for breakfast and lunch, never dinner. Their breakfast buffet is my favorite!! I've never felt rushed there.

Believe me, I am far from an adventurous eater (I'm really rather boring most times). Bu7t the honey sweet/sour pork was very good and I've read the honey chicken is really good too.

We are up to Wednesday, September 28 (our second to last day at Disney...although Mark doesn't know that yet ;) ).

I will be up bright and early so that we can be at Hollywood Studios by 8:15 for Rope Drop. We will head straight to Toy Story Mania and get Fast Passes and then get in line and ride it. From there, we'll probably head to Starring Rolls Cafe and share a cinnamon roll or muffin as we have lunch at noon at Mama Melrose (although after reading Nicki's reviews I'm pondering changing to 50's Prime Time). We'll hit TOT (doctor says Mark can ride this year after last year's surgery :thumbsup2), the Walt Disney Story, Muppets, Animation Studios and anything else we have time for.

I'd like to see Beauty & The Beast but we'll have to see how time is going as we are heading over to Epcot as well until just around closing. We are still trying to get a ressie at Cape May Cafe Clambake to join Mary, Jeff and the kids to see them one last time before we leave the next day. If we can't get into dinner with them, since they are DVC owners and can pool hop, the kids are coming over to the CSR to swim with us. I will then pack after swimming with Mark thinking we are going to Kona the next morning and then leaving. :thumbsup2

I am back on the Dis and just trying to get caught up. You will be in WDW on Gavin's birthday!!! What a great time that would be!!!

Well, what is Gavin's favorite thing at Disney and I'll be sure to do it on his birthday! Tam, we are so glad to have you back.

Ok, I have this visual in my mind now; Kathy & Mark at Rope Drop standing in the front of the mob of people doing their fair share of pushing, shoving, stomping, and running the mad dash of the bulls to the FP machine at TSM. My money is on you two beating the masses. :lmao: ( I hope you know I'm kidding)

As for Mama Melrose, this place was one of my least memorable dining experiences in WDW. I wouldn't call 50's PT as one of my highlights but it was ok and the theatrics were a bit over the top but fun.

Hope you both are doing well. This has been a difficult month with my brother suddenly passing four weeks ago, but we are hanging in there. We are leaving this Monday for our 14 day Hawaiian vacation (reason no Disney this year). I have to admit, other than the very long flight, I am looking forward to it. We are doing four islands Hawaii, Maui, Oahu, and Kauai.

Better hope no little urchins get in our way. :3dglasses

See, we've always had good meals at Mama Melrose and very good service. :confused3 We've not done 50's since Andy and Mark were about 11 and 9 years old (Lord, I'm showing my age again).

Have a great time in Hawaii. 14 days...lucky you!
I sent you a PM just a minute ago.

If I could get all my Dis friends a job I would love for you all to move to my Island....but I have a better idea...lets all move to Disney instead!!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I am just picturing ALL of us running the show at Disney! Now that would be something! :lmao: :goodvibes :lmao:

Your plans sound great for Wed. We plan to hit DS too because the crowd calender has it as a light day and we want to ride TSM at least three times. Too bad my DS isn't quite old enough to be the FP runner because he's very quick and small enough that he can easily dodge between people. :) This will also be our first time riding TOT and I want to ride the new Star Tours. I hope the crowds are light enough to hit most of the park in one day. :thumbsup2
