does anyone know the signficant differences if any between an

okw grand villa
and a
SSRS GRAND VILLA
and a
BW Grand villa

I am referring to size, layout and anything that you can please share with me

The SSR Grand Villa has

Surround sound built in (I think it's the only GV that does)
Separate Upstairs entrance door (definitely the only GV that does)
Full bath downstairs off kitchen (shower only...same as OKW)
Are all 2 story units
Only has a small balcony off the dining room
Has XL windows in the great room that face DTD (at least in the current buildings)
Brand new, sparkling rooms!
granite countertops

OKW
has a bigger kitchen
has two tables (dining area and a round table in the great room)
has a full sized washer and dryer (the others have stackables)
larger balcony with table and 4 chairs

That's all I can think of right now. I'm sure someone will post the sq footage differences. OKW is definitely bigger. We've never been inside of a BW GV...though I know they have some one story units as well as two story.

You can see a lot of good pictures here:

Another difference is that most BWV GVs are all on one level. OKW GVs are not wheelchair accessible for the most part, bcs they are on 2 levels without elevators. Most BWV GVs would be accessible to wheelchaior bound folks, an I believe that the SSR GVs are also intended to be, since they will have elevators available.

I've stayed in the one story BW Grand Villa and toured the one as SSR .

SSR is two levels, has a very elegant but small living room(compared to more casual large BWV one) . The kitchen is more like regular one bedroom size with granite countertops, top of theline cabinets...very pretty. The BWV kitchen is more open less elegant, part of the dining room, living room greatroom. SSR has a private dining room which faced away from DTD and had a small balcony . Bedrooms were all comparable in size but SSR were abit more upscale in furnishings.

The big difference for me is that the Board walk Grand Villas all have several large balconies overlooking the boardwalk which is a major draw for me. I don't care for the outside cement corridors as I've stated before at SSR and I prefer valet parking and being in the middle of the action at BW.

However, you will easily impress any family members if you treat them to any grand villa...they are all beautiful with different plusses and minuses. OKW look gorgeous from the pictures. I hope I helped alittle.

OKW does have wheelchair accessible. They have at least 2 in the elevator new section and we have stayed in one in the older section. The ground floor is for the handicapped and the upstairs are like all others. The OKW GV are larger with the BWV and SSR about the same size. I don't know exact size. BWV and SSR are very nice but more points. We bought when OKW was the only one so we stay there most often and in a GV. We take many with us each time. OKW is set up like an apartment setting with parking outside your unit. BWV is like a large hotel with parking not near as convenient. We like being close to Epcot at BWV but not enough to use the extra points for a GV. SSR is so new, I don't know much about it. They are almost side by side and not worth the extra points for us. It is really hard to get a GV unless you own at the resort that has them. We bought at VB just so we could have the option to stay in a cottage. Hope these post help you.

for a week in magic season:
OKW is 501 points
SSR is 719 points
BWV is 800 points

At OKW the 3rd BR only has 2 double Bed, where SSR and BWV has 2 Queens, that must be why they are so much more expensive. BWV almost 60% more points and SSR 43.5% more points.

All have a wonderfully large floor plan, and you will enjoy which ever you choose.

Thank you for your point comparison, this was very helpful
I only stay in dVC units, sunday-Thursday night, wouldn't the point comparison between OKW AND BwV & Ssrs, be even greater??

I haven't stayed in the OKW grand villa but friends who have say its not much larger if at all from BWV but has an extra bathroom on the ground floor for use by the living room sleepers. I toured the SSR Grand Villa and it isn't even close to the size of the BWV Grand that I stayed in. The two story boardwalk villa which is not as large as the one floor unit, is a little closer in size but It feels larger. The SSR is furnished with more upscale dark furniture and carpeting which makes it appear smaller. The extra points needed to stay at the BWV ones are in my opinion due to location. Parking if you use the valet which we always do, is soooo much more convenient. I never lift a pinky to bring anyhting to my room and never have to wait either. You won't be disappointed in any of these accomodations....top notch all the way. I personall like the layout of the one story BWV the best for large crowds as you could easily have 30 or more people at a party there while SSR would be cramped if all 12 people gathered in the living room at once. OKW I think is also very open and easier to serve alot of people in one area. SSR feels more like you are staying in someone's elegant townhouse while BW feels like you are living in a very comfortable beach house. Not a bad choice to have .LOL

Maybe, but also because I believe there are only 7 or 9 GVs at BWV, while OKW has 27.
