Ssr ???

My question in all of this is what happens if the resort doesn't open on the 17th? We are already changing our vacation plans since we were operating on a May 1 opening date and that's fine, but my question is what if I make reservations for after the 17th and SSR isn't ready yet ? What happens to my points? I guess I'm just wondering how concrete the 5/17/04 date is? Any ideas out there?

DVC resort aren't built like the WDW resorts - they generally open early - not late.

so you should be fine.

To my knowledge, no official opening date has yet been announced for SSR. I'm certain they will provide that information by the time reservations are accepted beginning on Decemebr 1, 2003 for SSR owners. I'm not aware of a new resort opening later than the announced date once reservations have been accepted (I don't think they had accpeted any reservations for Pop Century before putting it on hold.) Certainly all DVC resorts have opened on (usually before) the announced date.

I'm sure you'll be fine once your reservation is made.
