Hi arriving at SSR on Sunday. In the Grandstand section are there studio rooms with a view of the pool? Thank you.

You won't be able to tell by that map because it is older and doesn't have the Grandstand area on it. I've never stayed in the Grandstand area so I can't help you, but hang tight, someone will jump in real soon.

Sorry, that was a dumb mistake on my part. I updated the map. It looks like you can see the small (quiet) pool, but may not be able to see the main resort pool. Just guessing, though, as I've never stayed in that area.

There are some rooms in the first two Grandstand buildings which would look out at the pool but others have a view of the golf course or landscape in general. I stayed in Grandstand in December in a studio and loved the location. There aren't many rooms with pool view (the Grandstand pool) but it is a nice location.

Just got back. We requested The Grandstand or Congress Park. Did not get either. We were in The Paddock room 5512. It really was not a bad location.
If you look at the map you can see a foot bridge over the water. It was a 7 minute walk to The Carriage House and main pool area. (I have short legs and walk slow, so it may take others 5 minutes or less.)
We enjoyed the resort and our room was just lovely. Overlooking a small body of water on the same side as the Reedy Creek Fire Station. We did not hear any street noise at all. The quiet pool was nice and the laundry area was clean albeit small. Only 2 washers I feel they should have more. Had to wait for a machine, but met some nice people from Toronto and Rhode Island while waiting.
The parks were packed. Had a thunderstorm on Saturday that cancelled the parade. I have never seen a storm like that, pretty intense. Although it was packed we were able to make same day ADR's For lunch at Chef De France on Wednesday. Yummy meal. Also had great meals at Le Cellier and the Kona Cafe. The meal at the Grand Floridian Cafe was the worst. Very tough steak. The fondue dessert there is good, however.
