Hi,

We are headed to SS in January. :yay:

What would you prefer? We are me, dh, ds-7yrs.

My sister and her loud  2 yr old (just like my son at 2) :) will be joining us. My DH is a little worried about the fact that 2yr old loves to scream. Would you choose a dedicated or lock off for them?

Can I request one or other?

Thanks!

Sounds like the perfect situation for a Lock-Off. That way you can lock them into their own unit. :goodvibes

Why take a screaming 2 year old to Disney. :sad2: Not fun for the two year old, the mom, you and everyone else around you.

That being said, you were assigned a dedicated or lock off unit at the time of booking.

Good point. You already made your decision since dedicated or lock-off had to be specified when you booked.

Since you're going in January, look at your reservation and see what you have and if you want the other call MS and ask if you can have one. The dedicated has the 2 Q's in the second bedroom. Dedicated or lock off, you can always close the door between the second bedroom and the living room. In order not to hear the screams, you would have to be farther than just next door.

Not sure if it will make a huge difference, I don't think the lock-outs have any better soundproofing.

How about a studio in a different building?

Really, though for the sake of the other guests, the screaming needs to end.

Thanks everyone! It looks like I am in a dedicated. I agree the screaming needs to end. Sister told me she has been working on it for the last few months....we shalll see?:rolleyes1

We had a dedeicated 2bd in Oct with a srceaming 3 year old and 1 year old and I didn't hear a thing in the King room across the hall, with my door closed.
They closed there door at night and so did I and I never herd the kids. I don't think there will be much difference, I would go with the prefered beds. 2 queens in a ded or 1 queen and sofabed in lock off.

We were in a lock-off at OKW last month with a screaming child as a neighbor. 6:30 AM every morning like clock work, then a male voice would start yelling at the child and the female trying to shut the kid up.

Same pattern every night. It was like being next to a TV show. Not fun for the child, the adults, or us.
