Hi- we are staying at SSR for 7 nights and splitting our stay between a studio and 1 bedroom. Has anyone does this? Is it easy to move - do we move our own luggage? Do they keep us in the same building that we requested?

We've done it lots of times! :goodvibes They move your luggage for you and you need to be out of the room by the regular check-out time. You can request to stay in the same building.

We have done it and it is not bad, like the PP said, they move you, you just need to get it all packed up. And yes you can request to stay in the same bldg. We actually wanted to check out a different bldg.

Yes, I did this last fall. We had 100 developer's points and wanted to use all of them. So it worked out for us to stay in an SSR studio for 4 nights, then move to an SSR 1 BR for the last 2 nights. It wasn't too much of a pain, but I don't want to do it again. I found that split stays aren't for me. One recommendation is to stay in the studio first. You will have the 1 BR to look forward to, plus you'll have more room for your souvenirs. Another suggestion--if you have enough points, stay less days in the studio than you do in the 1 BR. It's easier to move after only a couple of days as opposed to several.

Actually, I said never again, but I'm planning a split stay at AKV next year. I hope to get a Saturday night concierge studio then transfer to a Kidani 1 BR Savanna View for the next 6 nights. I don't think it will be a big deal since we're staying only 1 night, then moving. We were going to stay at Comfort Inn that first night, but have some extra points so thought why not? That's the only reason I'm doing a split stay though.

Good luck with your decision!
