I'm looking for suggestions on where to stay.

I'm surprising my wife with a 3-night trip in January. It will be just us two in a studio.
We have previously stayed (with our three DDs) in a 1-bedroom at OKW near Hospitality House (building 14) and had a great time. We have never stayed at SSR. We will not have a car and will be relying on WDW transportation. We won't have refillable mugs & will use the pool no more than once (if at all).
OKW "Near Hospitality House" is unavailable & I'm trying to use as few points as possible so won't be doing SSR Preferred view.

My main concern is bus transportation to the parks & to Disney Springs.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

SSR strictly because it has a couch and a sofa bed to sit on. OKW has 2 queen beds.

As far as sections, I would ask for Paddock, I think it's the closest standard to Disney Springs if you are going to walk.

I agree, especially with just 2 adults.

Grandstand (H on the map below) would put them near the boat dock to DS and is the first stop for theme park buses. As for the Paddock (E on the map below), that section is very long and the room could be located quite a ways away from from the DS walkway in the Congress Park (F on the map below) section.

Oh, I see. The only time I was in Paddock, I was just across the street from Congress Park.

SSR for sure. It's so easy to walk to Disney Springs from anywhere on the property, especially if you are able bodied and don't mind a beautiful relaxing stroll. There are tons of resort activities to do and the pools are great. The Disney Busses are also just fine from SSR. The monitors with estimated arrival time of next bus have taken away a lot of the stress of the bussing situation.

I vote for Paddock too. It has the best slide at the pool and it's relatively convenient. Even if in the furthest section, if you are tired and don't feel like walking, it's easy to hop on any bus and it will take you to the Congress park bus stop which is perfect for Disney springs, or it will continue on to the carriage house stop and main pool.

Another vote for SSR. They are somehow similar, with spread out buildings, gorgeous grounds and relaxing atmosphere. OKW wins for me when I want two real beds (when traveling with a friends, for example), SSR in all other cases due to the walking path to DS.

Based on your criteria/situation, SSR since 1. ease to get to Disney Springs (boat, bus, or walk), 2. a studio will have a bed and a sofa at SSR, vs. 2 queen beds at OKW.

Another vote for SSR, if you don't need that extra bed.

Thanks for all of the responses.
I would have missed the two beds with no couch at OKW.
