I have just booked SSR 2 bedroom villa for 2 adults and one 11 year old. We have never stayed there. Which area should I request, and what level? How many levels or stories? Is there noise? TIA!

We have requested GrandStand for our Dec. trip because we like location across from Carriage House and also being the first bus stop in SSR. If you want downtown Disney views then i would suggest Congress Park.

We have stayed Springs, Grandstand, Paddock (twice), Congress Park and at THV.

The resort seems so spread out but it really doesn't take that long to walk anywhere there. We found Springs to be a little noisier on the balcony (we spend a lot of time on our balcony) but the other sections have all been quiet enough.

We actually prefer Congress Park and Paddock because it's an easier walk to DTD from there but still less 5 minutes or less to the Carriage House. We prefer the Congress Park quiet pool over the main pool anyway.

Congress Park upper level is our favorite. Love the pool and the views.

Like the GS building right next to that pool. It is near the carriage house, the quiet pool and an easy walk to either the GS or Springs bus stops and the boat dock. We have had views of the carriage house and the golf course. Prefer the 3rd or 4th floor.

As already mentioned, there are a lot of secitons with different advantages at SSR, it really depends on what you want. Near the theme'd pool it would be Grandstand/Congress Park/Springs.....if you are doing mostly parks and want ease of busses then Grandstand being the first stop is great. If you plan on doing a lot at DTD then Congress Park/Paddocks are easy to get over there, followed by Grandstand with boat and a bit longer walking path to the Westside area. If you want want quiet, Paddocks/Carousel are best. Carousel is usually the least desired because it is furthest out, but if you have a car, some people prefer it, very close to the main entrance and you can drive over to the Carriage House.

Really, SSR is a quiet resort as you would expect with one designed around a golf course (golf courses don't want a bunch of noise disturbing the players) so it is a bit more spread out.

We too have stayed at both Congress Park, Grand Stand and THV.

Congress Park upper floors are great for the views. It's also close to DTD, however, Grand Stand is our favorite. We request the first floor at GS so we can easily come in and out to the pool. It's also convenient to Carriage House and has its own theme pool while still being close to the main area. There's a convenient walking path to the West Side as well.
