Hi,

Could someone please tell me if there is a section that is close to the pool and faces DDD? I'd like to have a view of the fireworks, but would like to be near the pool.

When we stayed there in January we had a nice view of the pool and also could see the Cirque tent and the big Pineapple (Bongos I think). We were able to see some of Illuminations as well. This was in the Springs section. I had requested a pool and DTD view since that is what my husband's cousin who was travelling with us wanted. I was surprised we got it all. In looking at the various buildings, I remember thinking that not many units would have that view so I think it might be a bit hard to come by. But we lucked out.

The nightly PI fireworks stopped right after NYE.

They are re-theming PI and it will not include a nightly NYE party.

If you still want a DTD view (Gorgeous) and want to be near the quiet pool, then request Congress Park Pool view.

If you want to be near the main pool, then the Congress Park bldg closest to the Gazebo with a view of Disney Quest and Cirque will put you about 5-7 min. from the main pool area.

The Springs Section would be considered the closest to the main area, (although Im sure there are some bldgs in that Section with an equivalent walk to Congress Park) and they will not offer the DTD view.

Actually there are some rooms in the Springs that have a view of the main pool and DTD. You can see the Cirque tent very clearly. We had one in January. I don't think from what I could judge by looking at the buildings however that there are very many of these type views. We got really lucky. We could also see some of the high up fireworks from Illuminations.
