SSR-POR: Walkable?

I'm in the planning stages for a trip with friends coming up later this year. At this point, I have booked my room at SSR, but the current plan for the rest of the people is to stay at POR. Is it possible to easily walk from one resort to the other? I ask 'cause I know they are relatively close, and since SSR has a walkway to DTD, I was hoping there way maybe something similar to POR.

No, there isn't a walkway and it is actually quite a distance to walk....

I could take the riverboat at times, but doesn't that run only like noon-to-11:30 p.m.?

They're both relatively close to DTD, but not really close to each other. I think that your best bet might be to either meet up at DTD (walkable or boat launch from SSR & boat launch from POR) if you are dead set on traveling to the parks together or are making it to ADRs at other resorts or just simply meet up at the parks.

There are no walking paths between SSR and POR and they are about 3 miles apart. You could transfer to the POR/POFQ boat at DTD and walk from SSR to DTD. You really need a car to get back and forth between these two resorts.

There is no walking from POR to DTD. You can walk between POR and POFQ, but that is all the walking between these resorts. There are actually three resorts between SSR and POR - POFQ, OKW and the Treehouse Villas (which are used for international students working at WDW).
