My understanding is that dogs are allowed in all of the cabins as of right now, and possibly forever. I guess they could decide to restrict dogs to only certain loops of cabins in the future, in which case they'd probably create a separate booking category for dog-friendly cabins.

Correct. There are no dog cabins/no dog cabins. The Yacht Club is a deluxe resort that also allows dogs.

Just an FYI, you are able to buy tickets from the concierge at the resort and have it charged to your room. I did this so that it could be coded at resort/folio charge for my Disney Inspire.

I had heard some people who were able to do that. Still wondered if anyone was able to do the annual pass renewal at the concierge and charge it to their room folio. Doubt I would have to in order to get the resort credit for the Inspire, but a poster had asked and I wonder if they had been able to or not.

Unless things have changed recently, you can. I renewed my AP's at guest services at Hollywood Studios last year or year before and charged it to my folio.

Thanks. Good to know. I figured my DD wouldn’t ever get the resort credit, but the annual pass renewal goes a long ways towards that. We can get the ticket one with a holiday party so it would be nice to use the pass towards the resort credit.

After my comment I went straight to google and found some Instagram posts about it. To say that learning this information on the same day we booked our first stay at SRR is nothing short of amazing.

Cannot wait to grab these there.

Grandstand, which is where my wife and I are requesting we get our room for this upcoming stay.

I requested either grandstand or paddock for my upcoming stay. I'd be happy with either. I like grandstand's pool better since it tends to be a bit quieter than the paddock or main pools.

We’ve done Paddock multiple times. The pool was really nice but we’re requesting grandstand for our trip at SSR next year for the same reason. Paddock pool wasn’t bad, but just want to see if grandstand is quieter as we just like to float and talk. I learn so much in the forum and it makes me eager to try different DVC areas and resorts.

Paddock pool gets more of activity because of the slide. Grandstand's pool is a little more pedestrian, so better for a quiet pool I'd say. You can (and we have) had a great time in either section.

The line for them at MK is crazy long!

We only request the Grandstand and have always had our request honored. That makes me think more people request the Paddock, I know the pool is a draw there.

I think the Paddock is also popular as a few of the buildings are pretty close to Disney Springs (walkable without extra points to get a preferred room)

My guess for least requested is Carousel, but then again I’ve spoken to people who like that area because it doesn’t get as much foot traffic.

The sense I get from reading these over the years is that of the Standard locaitons, Grandstand is slightly more popular than Paddock, both of which are significantly more popular than Carousel. Factors that seem to drive Grandstand are (a) proximity to the main resort buildings and (b) first stop for the theme park buses.

I usually ask for "near pool, upper floor", and so far that has always meant Paddock.

Current word is the wrist band scanner / reservation checker at the DS boat dock is only for the boats, and DS parkers can still cross the bridge to SSR and hop on a park bus at Congress Park; indeed reports are that that has increased over the last 2 weeks since the new bus rules went into effect.

If they move the wristband scanner to the front of the bridge (which makes more sense anyway), please someone let us know.
