SSR Laundry Room.....

Just an observation about the SSR laundry room near High Springs pool during my stay late January.....while doing some laundry there one morning there was a middle aged man there doing laundry also. He was doing probably two or three washer/dryer loads....but, something didn't seem right about him....a bit strange and then he literally stuffed EVERYTHING he had washed/dryed into ONE small backpack. There were two other women there also.....after he left one remarked that she didn't think he was even a guest/DVC member, but, had walked over from DTD.....which was exactly what I was thinking, but, didn't verbalize!! As I thought about it for a day or so I decided to stop by the Carriage House and mention it to the front desk.....since the laundry room doors at SSR are equipped with room key access but not activated.....maybe they should be. Anyway, I did bring it to the attention of front desk......don't know what, if any, action will be taken.....but, I would hate to think some person is walking over from DTD to use the free laundry facilities at SSR. So, if anyone is using the laundry at SSR High Springs pool area keep an eye out and if you see something that doesn't seem right please report it to the front desk. I did ask why the key card access wasn't being used and the desk person didn't know, but, did take all of the info and said she would speak with a manager and security about checking the laundry frequently. I know at some of the DVC resorts I've had to use my room key to access the laundry room and I thought several years ago I needed to use mine to access the one at SSR, but, this trip it was open for anyone to walk in.

OK, so these people use the SSR buses, use the pools and now the laundry?? I think it's time that security steps up and stops people from walking on to the resort.
