SSR Full-Service Restaurant to open July 1st.

LiferBabe, why do you not think you can continue to get the DDE 20% discount at Artist Palette? Other disney resorts give the DDE discount for both their CS and TS restaurants (PORS, CS, CBR, OKW).

I called today to make my ADRs for December and the CM told me they were not taking reservations for the new restaurant yet.

No and I didn't even think to ask unfortunately.

I figured that I will call back after the restaurant actually opens and see if they have plans to start taking ADRs at some point. Or maybe I will call back tomorrow and ask.

We will be at OKW for two weeks and will definitely try out the new restaurant. We really enjoy trying all the restaurants.

Just an FYI -

MY MIL called today and was able to make ADRs for December. Dining rep said they just started taking them today.

DH and DD2 and I will also be checking it out in October!

Unless something has changed....

The rules for DDE are that if the resort only has a CS (ie. Value/POFQ) then they get the DDE discount. If you have a CS and TS restaurant (ie. PORS, CS, CBR, OKW) then only the TS, and if they have a bar that participates, gets the 20%.

I was just there and dined at the PM at CS...no discount. I was given it once at the CS restaurant, by accident when I didn't realize the rules and the CM didn't realize, at POR...maybe the CM works at POFQ sometimes!! Anyways both of us were in the "not know"...I know I know there's a list....not that organized.....I only learned I lucked out at POR here on the disboards.

So SSR now has a full service restaurant so no DDE at AP. Actually while the Turf Club had a limited menu they didn't give us a DDE discount at the AP the last trip down.

What did you think of the place? I wish someone could get an advance on the menu . . . I somehow feel as though I will still end up eating at AP, cause I love it, but this will cut down on the crowds there, which is cool.

My DH totally surprised me today by saying that he wants more SSR points -- I had no idea he liked the place so much!! Wahoo!!

I made a reservation this morning for Christmas Eve. I wanted one for 6 and the closest they had was 5:45 and 6:20, so I took the 6:20.

Does anyone know if this will be added to the dining plan as a TS meal? I figure it probably will be, but I forgot to ask this morning.

I'm sooooo happy to hear that they are going to have a sit down restaraunt. I was not happy with Artist Pallet.
