SSR Construction

Dear Friends,

Taking the family for our annual trip in August 2006 and was considering SSR. Last year we stayed at our home, OKW, and loved it and also BWV and loved it. This year we would like to try SSR but are concerned about the ongoing construction. Should I be worried about this?

You will definitely see construction when you come and go, but it looks like it's far enough away from the finished areas that it won't disturb you. I've only toured, not stayed, so I can't say for certain. The finished areas are nice, and if you are in the section (Paddock?) overlooking Downtown Disney, I don't think you would notice anything.

We have stayed at SSR twice and the construction was absolutely no problem at all. They have those areas closed off and the construction workers don't bother the guests.

Construction is no problem, SSR is Great. You Will love it

We are recently back from SSR, and the only impact the construction had was to say something like, "Hey, look at the new buildings being built."
Don't worry about it.

I know I'm a few days late responding but wanted you to know that I stayed at SSR from the 7th - 14th and did not hear one noise from construction.

Hubby is a late sleeper and he didn't have any complaints either.

We just returned. Construction is not really an issue but we really did not like anything about it. We will avoid in the future.

We just returned too, and we LOVED it. Can't wait to go back.

Don't let the construction deter you. We didn't hear any noise or really see anything dramatic. Just like tiberius said, "look at the new buildings"

We loved SSR and my biggest surprise was that despite its size, it never felt crowded. We never saw another person on our floor, it seemed like a very private community retreat. We really enjoyed it and if you are trying to impress people, you can't beat the new decor and the lovely grounds!

We went in November. No problems with construction and love the resort. I am a SSR owner so maybe I am biased, but I love the atmosphere as well as how close to DTD we were. My kids had a great time at the pool and we never felt like the resort was crowded during our stay.

If I recall correctly there was apost a while ago stating that construction was ahead of shedule
