SSR Caesar Salad

Hi Everyone! I am a total Disney addict and love DVC. I am usually happy with the cuisine at all the resorts but I have to say, I was disappointed with the Caesar salad at the SSR when I was there this past week. For $8.00 I expected the normal bowl of romaine with cheese, dressing, and croutons. After all, that was the idea I got after looking at the picture on the illustrated menu above. I got it with chicken so I expected a few decent chicken pieces. I mean, even McDonalds makes a decent salad, and only for 5 bucks or so.

Anyway, when she handed me the salad it was 4 leaves of romaine lettuce lying there, a few sprinkles of cheese, a couple of credit card-thin slivers of chicken and two melba toast-style bread things. They were flat and also slivers that you could see through. My daughters got it w/o the chicken slivers and they were disappointed as well. I dont know if the chef made it correctly, but they need to change that to a decent salad. I just thought I would warn everyone to not expect too much when you order the Caesar salad. (

I kind of can't believe they don't have a "real restaurant" there. I wish they did. Otherwise our stay was very nice as usual!!

I tried the ccs at SSR last year and I remember thinking that one could get a CCS at Cosmic Ray's (inside the MK!) for less. (This may have changed their pricing structure at Cosmic Ray's since then--so this may not be true anymore ).

I would like to see more menu choices and a sit down restarant, too. Before DVC, they used to have a really nice restaurant over there (I can't remember the name of it). We used to go over there just to eat lunch because the food was really good. It's too bad they didn't bring that restaurant back with SSR....
