SSR "Borrowing" Question

I read in our member handbook that new members cannot borrow points from future use years until the have officially closed on their purchase.

Since we SSR owners will not officially close until April '04, does anyone know if this clause will be waived for our first ressies? To meet our 2004 travel plans, I'd have to borrow a handful of points from our Feb '05 use year. We can begin making reservations in December '03, but this may preclude our ability to plan everything until after April.

Also, was the question of whether SSR owners can book at other resorts before May 1 been resolved?

Thanks,
Tim

My guide told me today that members can make reservations on Dec. 1 for stays after SSR opens-he said this applied to all resorts.

For example, you can't use your SSR pts to book a stay at BCV in April or any other month that comes before the opening of SSR.

I'm not sure on the borrowing question.

You may want to ask your guide. I would think you may be able to borrow SSR pts for trips that occur after your closing.

Thanks for clarifying the resort issue. That was my suspicion, but recent posts seemed to raise some doubts.

I'd planned to call my guide on Monday regarding the borrowing issue. Of course that's a whole 3 days away, so I thought I'd take the instant gratification approach to getting an answer. :p

My use year is June, and I'm hoping to go to SSR in May. So, when I bought SSR, I asked about borrowing, and was told I would be able to. My guide confirmed this with two other people, so I hope they were all correct.

Please post what your guide tells you.
