Going in 2 weeks with 7 people including seniors, teenager, kids. Want to be in good location for buses, DTD, pools, etc. Any tips? From other postings Congress Park section sounds like the best bet.

We had a problem once with BWV - so far from main entrance that we were a short walk from MGM but buses or Epcot were very far in that heat!

Also, can you call ahead to request a special section? We never seem to have any luck with this even at check-in at BWV (they will never tell us what section until the room is ready!). The only luck I had with this was 1 year when my father in law had a bad knee & I told them we HAD to be by the elevator.

We just got back from SSR and stayed in The Paddocks by the second bus stop. The bus stop is right outside a small pool but only a quick walk to the main pool. It was quiet at night (no lights and noise from DTD). We enjoyed it.

Congress Park is a great location, the view of DTD is fabulous. It is a distance from the main pool/lobby/artist palette. We dont mind the walk as this is one of the reasons why we like SSR, but this past trip we took my dad and he thought it was a hike. He wondered how the seniors would handle it :rotfl:

This trip we hope to get the Springs section, we dont plan to go to the parks much and hope to spend more time at the resort. The kids love the theme pool therefore we anticipate that this is where we will be most of this vacation.

Just this weekend my dh said he would like to stay in the Paddock area overlooking the water/fountains and he like the walking paths in that area too.

I think the bus stops are handy to most any buidling.

Enjoy your vacation
