Hi All!! We booked SSR 2 bedroom for November first time ever doing this resort so we are excited!! Based on all the reading I have done I requested when we booked to have noted we wanted Grandstand section, close to carriage house and first floor. My son is in a wheelchair full time and my mom has breathing issues with walking long distances (we get her a cart for the parks) so we'd be close to the main stuff.

Did I choose right?? I think I also saw a boat dock close to the grandstand section that takes you to Disney springs. I doubt we can get the cart on it but can a wheelchair go on the boats??

Any tips and help would be amazing!! Thanks so much!!

Why don't you call the resort and ask and also make a formal room request? I will admit I have no personal experience with it but I would think the resort would have a good idea about this.

I would call the resort directly, btw, and not the general WDW number.

Wheelchair and ECV both can go on the boats around Disney Springs. The boat Captains will have a portable ramp that they will set down; they will drive straight on, and park.

Actually, when you call the resort 'directly', you are actually connected to a call center (they answer as if they are at the front desk).

If the poster made the requests that were listed in the first post at the time of making the reservation, the requests are formally made and are attached to the reservation as requests.

This is the ramp put up to the OKW boat, but the Saratoga boats are the same, just themed slightly differently.
