Squitty's Christmas & Birthday trip Dec 2005 Day 9

Day 9 – Tuesday 20th December

Today was awoken at 5am by some lovely person sending us a text message. She shall remain nameless and shameless!
After that we both tossed and turned till 7:30am which we had a wake up call for. DD answered it and I expected Mickey to say something but she said there was nobody there.
Showered and ready to go by 8:30am today was IOA day.

Arrived at IOA at 8:45am and we were a little bit hungry so got a Cinnabon

We ate these on the way down to the entrance of IOA. The line was huge to get in. Trust us to pick the slowest line, luckily they opened another machine and we were on our way in no time. Round to the Hulk where it was closed! :angry: they could’ve told you this while in the line. Quick change of plan and we all head for Spiderman as we didn’t do this the last time we were here as DH had a bad neck. I had forgotten this entire ride as we had not rode it since 2000. It was good, a bit rougher than I remembered.
Off there and walked round to Dr Doom, they said it was 10 min waiting, more like 30.
We thought we’d head straight over to Duelling Dragons.

Wait time was showing 5 min. Had a short wait for Fire as we didn’t ride the back or front rows. Then straight back round to re-ride on Ice. They decided to put another 2 dragons on while we were waiting for the back row on Ice, it’s a much better ride at the back and this nice American family said we could go before them as there would be 2 seats spare, very nice of them!
Eventually! The girl I was sitting next too asked if I had rode it before, as this was her first time. She screamed all the way round, non stop! I think she liked it. I did tell her to ride Fire next but I don’t know if she did.

We walked round to Suess Landing;

There was a line to go and meet the Grinch and DD didn’t want to wait.

We thought we’d head out of IOA and head over the USF. The crowds were pouring into IOA and starting early really makes a difference in peak times.
DD wanted another Cinnabon so stood a good 15 min for them. These are really tasty but I must admit that 2 are sickly! I could not finish mine so in the bin it went. Sacrilege throwing good food like that away!

Got to the entrance of USF and turned straight back round, this is the beauty of having a 14 day pass, if the lines are too big there’s always another day.

We thought a trip to Mall at Millennia was on the cards as DD wanted those Vans shoes and DH wanted a couple of tops.

We were there in no time.
DD one happy little bunny as she had her shoes and DH happy as he had his tops.

Next stop was to be the Florida Mall so as I could get my rings. Had a real problem trying to get parking space, we would’ve had one 5 min on getting there, but these cheeky things (that’s not what we called them) pinched our parking space. DH said its only a parking space no need to get worked up about it! However if we’d been at home it would’ve been a totally different story.

Eventually we manage to park after driving around for a while. Straight into the mall where it was full again.
Straight to the shop to get my rings where we were got a great deal. Well we think so anyway. Here are the ones that I got:

DD and DH were getting peckish so DD went and had a combo meal from Mancho Wok $7.15 and DH went to Charley’s Steak for a sandwich $5.50 I was still feeling sick from the Cinnabons so I didn’t have anything. DD was stuffed so I had to finish her orange chicken and DH gave me a taste of his steak sandwich. Didn’t take any photo’s though as it was packed and there was too many people around.

DD had a quick look in Hot Topic where she had a huff because I wouldn’t buy her a sweatband!

We then had a drive to Prime (Belz) for DD to have a look at the Vans outlet there and we wanted to have a look in the Character warehouse. We missed it the other day when we were here.

DD was in 7th heaven all the stuff that was in there. She wanted a wallet which was $15 at the M @ M and only $10 here. I said no as she said that if she got the Vans shoes then she wouldn’t ask for another thing! She was not happy again! Surprise Surprise!

We had a walk over to the Character Warehouse were all the 2005 things we half price. So we bought a couple of photo frames and a ornament. DD got a pair of swimming shorts for $4 total $50.50
On the way out we passed Vans outlet and DD made her puppy dog eyes at us, I had $11 left in cash so she got that and was told that that was it! She was getting nothing else.
In the car and we thought we would have a game of mini golf. Back to the room we drop off the bags. DH tried his tops on and they were a snug fit shall we say! So another trip to the M @ M is on the cards then. I put the photos onto the laptop and started writing up today’s notes.

Off to the Mall again it was still busy, couldn’t get a parking space, so I just dropped DH off at Macy’s and he went in to change his tops.
He was only gone about 10 min if that.

Then we were on our way to have a game of mini golf. Fantasia it was to be as we all liked this course.

What can I say, some fluke shots were played and balls were lost! We had a great time.

It’s a par 53 the scores were DH 41, Me 50 and DD 54
Not a bad way to spend an hour or so.

Today it was a nice day, partly cloudy with no rain and according to the car it was 72
Back to the resort where a 16” four topping pizza was ordered $18. A pager was given and told it would be 15 min, DD ran down to the room to get the refillable mugs so we could have drinks.
Pager went off and back to the room where we ate pizza

watched TV and fell to sleep watching story time with Belle. I think it was the little mermaid DD was watching - listening too!
