Day 14 – Sunday 25th December

Merry Christmas

Woke up at 3am was too hot and really excited to see DD’s face! Managed to go back to sleep. Got woke up at 6am this time from DD..told her to go back and lie down, then shouted her back through 5 min later. Gave her the I pod, she was over the moon with it.
DD then gave us her presents, DH got the new Stevie Wonder CD and I got Meet the parents DVD. DH and I love our presents.
We started getting ready to go for our ADR for Whispering Canyon, but decided that we weren’t going to make it. Are we never going to eat here! So we grab a Jimmy Dean sausage muffin to see us through to dinner.

We start getting ready, jump in the show and we are ready we head for Epcot. There is a line to get in but it’s not that bad and we’re parked up in no time.

The weather this morning looks very iffy and I say to DH &DD I think we are going to need to buy ponchos today! Although it’s nice and warm.
Bag checked and we’re in.
Straight down to Soarin’ to get FP.

We walk over to Living with the Land

Wait time says 5min and it was walk on.

We were done and still had time to kill before our FastPass time. It’s raining now, quite heavy, but not enough to soak you. . We have a wander over to the living seas. The line for crush was long so we just looked around the rays and fish tanks.

We spot Nemo
Took some photos, like this one:-

Everybody was laughing at DH…Our time was round for Soarin. The crowds are heavy here. But we over hear that Soarin is down due to tech difficulties. Sure enough it was. We asked were we stood and was told that the fastpasses were good all day, anytime.
It had stopped raining by now so we walked over to test track to get fastpass for there. It started to rain again and it was too late my hair had started to go frizzy!
Fastpasses in hand we went over to world showcase where DD & DH rode Malestrom, I waited outside and took some photos.
It had also stopped raining now and there was some sun poking through the clouds. Malestrom was only 5 min wait and they were done in no time.
Walked around World Showcase to American Adventure where DH had a lovely BBQ pork sandwhich:

DD & I had hot dog and fries.
All content we walked around to see if Soarin was back up. Yes it was the standby line was saying 80 min wait, it felt really good walking past that long line.

We were soon in row 1 and it was brilliant, much better that row 3.
It was now time for us to use our FastPasses for Test Track so a quick walk over to Test Track entrance and we were on the ride. We all love this ride.

We then thought we would park hop over to MGM to do the motor lights stunt show.
It didn’t look busy but once in there, it was quite busy, nowhere near as busy as MK though.
The next stunt show didn’t start till 4pm; it was only 2:30pm.
DH’s feet were starting to hurt him. Everywhere was lines! Holly-Day parade was due to start at 3pm. We’ve seen it loads of times so didn’t wait to see it again.
We said that we would go back to the resort and maybe have a dip in the pool and a rest before we eat at ‘Ohana.
We just sat by the pool as DD1 rang us. That’s the only thing that I don’t like about Cypress Pointe, the Volcano pool is completely in the shade in the afternoon.
We go back to the room where we chill and I start to type up the notes for the report.
It turned out to be a gorgeous sunny, warm Christmas Day. So strange to be spending the day at the parks and then round by the pool, so different from what we would be doing if we were at home.

Our ADR for ‘Ohana was for 7:30pm we thought we’d set of at 6pm allowing plenty of time for traffic and finding a parking space.

We actually got there about 6:30pm so we thought we’d just check in and then go off for a look around. We got down the stairs to go look out on the beach and our pager went off, so back upstairs and we were seated at a brilliant window seat, with a excellent view of the castle. We did try to take photos but they never came out.
We had some really nice food.
Sweet and Sour Shrimp

What can I say, the best meal we’ve had on the holiday so far.
I really pigged out on the pudding, which was delicious!

We caught the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom, as it was open till 12 midnight. We thought that many of the crowds would have gone by now. It wasn’t that bad when we walked in. The first showing of Spectroagic was on, so we pushed our way up the stairs to catch the train around to Frontierland to ride BTMR. On the train my stomach was really hurting, I had eaten too much! I had to take things easy; I swore I would not eat again!
We got off the train and walked around to BTMR the wait said 20 min, but from past experience we knew it was way longer than that. Spectromagic was just coming into Frontierland, so we walked over to Haunted Mansion. Walked straight on, DD sat on her own and DH kept spooking her. It was funny. She really was scared.
Wishes was about to start and we were at the back of the castle.

DD & DH went on Phillarmagic and I waited for Wishes to start. WOW!! They did a special Christmas wishes, it was fantastic! With being stood so close to the Castle we had fireworks going off above our heads, there were some really loud ones. What a brilliant way to view them, I still think Main St view is the best place to view Wishes.

We were going to stay for the second Spectromagic, but were feeling tired, so we walked down onto Main St, as the rest of the park did too. I really wish I felt like staying as I think the park would’ve been a lot quieter.
We tried to get some photos of the crowds…

We were ushered round to walk around the back of Main St, this was so weird. This way brought us out just next to Tony’s restaurant. Had the fight to get onto the monorail stilll. We had to get the resort one as the car was still there. The crowds were just as bad both sides. Eventually got on and it was standing room only. At the contemporary resort they forced 2 people in wheelchairs, to say it was a tight squeeze!
Eventually we got to the car and we were home, I took some pepto bismol tablets and went to bed. We said that we would have a lie in till about 9-10am in the morning. DD wants to go shopping with the money she had put away for her I pod.
I think tomorrow we are off to Mall @ Millenia.

Sounds wonderful
