Day 14 Sunday 25th December
Merry Christmas
Woke up at 3am was too hot and really excited to see DDs face! Managed to go back to sleep. Got woke up at 6am this time from DD..told her to go back and lie down, then shouted her back through 5 min later. Gave her the I pod, she was over the moon with it.
DD then gave us her presents, DH got the new Stevie Wonder CD and I got Meet the parents DVD. DH and I love our presents.
We started getting ready to go for our ADR for Whispering Canyon, but decided that we werent going to make it. Are we never going to eat here! So we grab a Jimmy Dean sausage muffin to see us through to dinner.
We start getting ready, jump in the show and we are ready we head for Epcot. There is a line to get in but its not that bad and were parked up in no time.
The weather this morning looks very iffy and I say to DH &DD I think we are going to need to buy ponchos today! Although its nice and warm.
Bag checked and were in.
Straight down to Soarin to get FP.
We walk over to Living with the Land
Wait time says 5min and it was walk on.
We were done and still had time to kill before our FastPass time. Its raining now, quite heavy, but not enough to soak you. . We have a wander over to the living seas. The line for crush was long so we just looked around the rays and fish tanks.
We spot Nemo
Took some photos, like this one:-
Everybody was laughing at DH Our time was round for Soarin. The crowds are heavy here. But we over hear that Soarin is down due to tech difficulties. Sure enough it was. We asked were we stood and was told that the fastpasses were good all day, anytime.
It had stopped raining by now so we walked over to test track to get fastpass for there. It started to rain again and it was too late my hair had started to go frizzy!
Fastpasses in hand we went over to world showcase where DD & DH rode Malestrom, I waited outside and took some photos.
It had also stopped raining now and there was some sun poking through the clouds. Malestrom was only 5 min wait and they were done in no time.
Walked around World Showcase to American Adventure where DH had a lovely BBQ pork sandwhich:
DD & I had hot dog and fries.
All content we walked around to see if Soarin was back up. Yes it was the standby line was saying 80 min wait, it felt really good walking past that long line.
We were soon in row 1 and it was brilliant, much better that row 3.
It was now time for us to use our FastPasses for Test Track so a quick walk over to Test Track entrance and we were on the ride. We all love this ride.
We then thought we would park hop over to MGM to do the motor lights stunt show.
It didnt look busy but once in there, it was quite busy, nowhere near as busy as MK though.
The next stunt show didnt start till 4pm; it was only 2:30pm.
DHs feet were starting to hurt him. Everywhere was lines! Holly-Day parade was due to start at 3pm. Weve seen it loads of times so didnt wait to see it again.
We said that we would go back to the resort and maybe have a dip in the pool and a rest before we eat at Ohana.
We just sat by the pool as DD1 rang us. Thats the only thing that I dont like about Cypress Pointe, the Volcano pool is completely in the shade in the afternoon.
We go back to the room where we chill and I start to type up the notes for the report.
It turned out to be a gorgeous sunny, warm Christmas Day. So strange to be spending the day at the parks and then round by the pool, so different from what we would be doing if we were at home.
