I don't know why AK is always so much hotter, and why it's so hard to find refreshments when you need them. Good thing Parker had the mister! I think Candi had a really good idea - they should sell necklaces for that purpose!

Good thing you had that mister fan for Parker! I know everyone complains that AK is the hottest park, but I'm not in that crowd. I guess it is because so many of the attractions are outside because of the animals so not as many opportunities to escape inside from the heat into the a/c! But there are so many trees and shady areas while parks like DHS and Epcot are miserable to me because if you are going to enjoy the park there is just nowhere to escape from the sun in those parks unless you head inside.

And Parker adding the Disney characters in his prayers is too cute!

it was a great investment and with the disney ones being about 20 bucks the 6 for walmart brand was a steal.

Great update again, Dan. Love the pics of Carter with Pooh and friends. You can see how hot it really is -- so I'm sure that mister was a great purchase for the price. Hey, Candi has to do what she has to do to stay cool. A hint for the future...take a washcloth with you and soak in cold water and put on the back of Parker's neck...it works wonders in cooling off.

i have done that before but it seems that it doesnt stay cold enough for long.

I think the Animal Kingdom parade is one of the best!

The theming in the Dinoland area is kind of cool, but is almost too hidden. You don't know about it unless you read up on it....in a book or Dan's trip report.

i hope by my pointing it out others will notice it as well.

i think it has something to do with all the trees and oxygen and carbon dioxide myself...but ill go with your inside AC theory...and since the doors are open on most of those attractions they AC the outdoors in other parks.

I love when the kids really enjoy the characters, my DS11 and DS9 did not when they were younger but DD5 LOVES them just like Parker.

It looked pretty darn hot outside, especially at AK. Oh and Candi is still young and beautiful so she can call her 'ladies' 'girls' and get away with it. I think it's when you hit middle age you make the transition!

its okay, i dont know names and call people the wrong name all the time...i see people i went to high school and they call me by name i just say hey there bud, or hows it going dude. stuff like that.

makes it hard to introduce to candi since i dont know there name.

he loves anything that goes in circles. so we knew that ride would be a winner, he even stands in one spot and just spins in circles even telling you that he is dizzy..we tell him to stop and he says nope its fun.

He's so cute! Really, he runs around in circles for fun?? That would've made me vomit as a child. Well, I wouldn't bother wasting money on expensive b-day and Christmas presents for him then, he's easily entertained by simply spinning in circles! Just give him one of those sit and spin toys!

I'm thinking about renewing my AP in December. Having at least one of them is a good thing since we can keep the TIW card and get the meal and drink discounts. With all the work I will be doing, I might have to have some of those "side-effects" that the Poolrat keeps telling us about and sneak in some solo trips when it isn't so crowded. What better way to unwind from all the extra hours at work........
