Squirts, Shirts, and Flirts, The Legend Continues 2 weeks in FW(wrap up #2 new 11-17)

Great update!

I love the photopass pics, Parker is too cute!

I so agree with your observations..too funny:goodvibes

I hate rude kids and hate parents who don't care about their rude kids more.
Ooh that margarita looks good.
The shower story is too funny.
Ok too much to say about the Olive Garden incident. :rotfl2:
The water park looks like fun, not sure if I could do Summit Plummet.
Be back soon for more. Great updates.

Hi Scott !!:)

funny just runs in our blood.

very true, or use them as people smackers to get out of your way when walking through the park at the end of your day.
:duck:

well, within the first hour of opening you might still find some, but they might be more out of the way. We have never used a chair there, we always rent a locker, and then just come back for our towels and such during the day. If you really want a chair, then i suggest using the rental areas..they ahve areas that you can rent out that have chairs, towels, and i think some other things with it, but it is kinda pricey...but it would gurantee you a spot if you really wanted one and were worried about them all being gone.

yeah it is a little shocking when you first see it. there reaction was funny.

i remember one year we were at river country and there was a europian family that got done swimming and they all just started to take off there suits and change into there regular clothes right there next to us, my mom told a lifeguard, and he just said, "ohh it happens all the time, we have to tell a group at least once a day" :scared1: i was maybe about 10 at the time he ended up telling them they had to stop and go use the bathouse.

Do you have to bring towels? Can you just carry your stuff with you?? I am confused :confused3.. which doesn't take much!!!:rotfl2:

As for the Brazilians :scared1::scared1:

I feel like you did in your I'm just sayin' segment on most regular days....it amazes what some people wear out of the house so I can only imagine what things you could see at a waterpark. Last year at the beach we saw a 60 something man in a wait for it...............white speedo:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1: Just think about it for a minute & image how bad that could be!

Ohhhh the stories I could tell. I have been around pools for a while now ( hence the screen name) and I have seen a lot.
Some of the more memorable ones-
White tank tops on women with no bra underneath- too many times
The man who would swim in his zebra underwear. :scared1:
The man who wore the "wonderbread" speedo- white speedo with Red, Blue, and yellow dots
Tattoos - why would someone get a tattoo that cannot be shown in public? just sayin'
And of course wardrobe malfunctions.

I think they sell cheap towels but I always bring my own. I have done a locker and I have just brought the towel and left my stuff on a chair if I knew I wanted to sit a bit or even put everyone's on just one chair if most of us were going to mostly ride and needed the chair as a home base.
In Aug get there early for a chair - I believe the waterparks do EMH morning hours so there is a chance for a chair.

Great water park day recap & loved Parker's photo shoot. :cool1:
Haven't been to a water park in years.......didn't have a clue you could bump in to characters at them. :goofy:

its not often you see them there, but both days we say goofy at BB, havent seen other characters there though.

i know, kinda like if you look at that people of walmart website, some of the things that people wear in those are great.

im guessing that the speedo had the same effect as a white t shirt contest.

Great update!

thanks, im thinking if i paid attention and took pictures of those things during the trip, i could have done a whole update on those things.

As for the Brazilians :scared1::scared1:
well you can bring your own, or if your pool has some use those, or use hte ones from your hotel room....or you can rent them there for a few bucks. u can carry your stuff with you, but we always rent the locker for like 8 or 10 bucks depending on the size, so we have somewhere safe to keep our tickets and money while we swim, and then just put the little locker key strap thingy on your wrist so you dont lose it. alot better in our opinion than worry about your stuff out ona chair in the open when you are not there.

if you do go with leaving your things on the chair on in a beach bag, then im sure people wont mess with it, but we dont take the chance.

Ohhhh the stories I could tell. I have been around pools for a while now ( hence the screen name) and I have seen a lot.

ahh the joys of the summer pool.
some of those are more enjoyable than others.

so do these woman go swimming in those white tank tops at the pool, i have not seen this before?
:cool2:

some good advice as well.

:thumbsup2

I LOVE the updates!! Parker is SO CUTE!! I'm pretty sure we have the 2 cutest kids in the universe!!

I got Landon that same Buzz car and also the Woody one, but he lost the Woody one on the plane!! I couldn't even find it after we landed and picked up everything. He loved it. I wish it were just scratched! We do worry so much about things our kids don't even notice.

Okay...as entertaining as your tr is...I have to get back to work! I stopped just as the Epcot ones started! Dang! I would so rather be reading your tr though...just so ya know! haha ;)

glad you were able to sneak away for a little bit and get some reading in.

yep they are pretty adorable.:thumbsup2

that stinks about him losing the car, was it part of the 4 pack that you bought? i bet they will have them on your next trip. yep thats just us being good parents, worring about them so much, and there stuff.

ohh just getting to epcot, so you got some good ones coming up, im going to work on another one right now, so you will have another to read along with the epcot and water park days.

Chapter 12. Dinner with old friends.

This is the night we had our meal i was looking forward to the most of all our reservations. I loved ohana in the past, and was even more excited when I found out that they added pot stickers to the menu, and the noodles two of my favorite dishes of the orient. When we got back to the camper after swimming we relaxed a bit and got ready for our dinner.

i went to the store which was right behind our loop to get the glasses we had made up for my parents at Epcot the day before.

this was the best picture i had of them.
DSC00914.jpg

of course parker was hungry from a long morning afternoon i the water park and needed a fuel snack before we headed out.
DSC00912.jpg

we headed down to the marina to catch our boat over to the contemporary where we could transfer to the monorail.
DSC00917.jpg

for those of you who have never seen the docks at FW marina here is a better view of them.

DSC01632.jpg

can u tell that parker loves the boat rides.
DSC01639.jpg

shortly after we arrived at Contmemporary and then head up to the monorail and head over to the poly.

where we check in for dinner.

parker loved the waiting area as you can see he kept running back and forth checking out all the windows and things to see.
DSC01641.jpg

our wait to be seated was not long at all, we were just as you walk in the restraunt, just a stones through away from the cooking station.
DSC01642.jpg

our waiter was one of the best we had all trip, and was very attentive to us and parker as well. he went right for parker and asked him what he would like to eat and drink. he wanted chicken nuggets and macs, our waiter also said he would bring him some fries in case he wanted those.

one nice thing about the buffets is that little ones eat free...and parkers meal even though it wasnt any of the items on the ohana menu his was free as well, we had great servers every place for dinner who gave him free food and drinks except one place...but that is a story for another chapter a little later on down the line.

first out was our salad and the dipping sauce plate.
DSC00923.jpg

candi and nanas drinks.
DSC00925.jpg

and me and papa opted for the beers, hey glenn that bud light lime looks pretty good huh?
DSC00926.jpg

pretty soon after our plate of pot stickers and wings arrived for us to scarf down, the pot stickers were stacked up pretty good at least 20 on there, which i knew would not be a problem, i was going to eat all of them and have no fuss about trying.
DSC00927.jpg

he set down parkers meal which he told him was hawaiin chickens because they had an umbrella in them, parker just looked at him like huh?
DSC00928.jpg

we all dug into the wings and pot stickers, and before we knew it he was bringing out the veggies and noodles for us.
DSC00929.jpg

but we opted to keep the pot stickers and wings and not let him take them away...actually i told him to keep them on the table. My final tally on those potstickers was at least 10.:thumbsup2

in case you have never seen a whole mess of chickens being cooked at once, here you go.
DSC00932.jpg

i wont post the meat pictures, because your plate starts to look a little messy after all that other food, and wanted to keep it appetizing for you guys, but they bring around the steak, chicken, pork, and had grilled peel shrimp as well...those were very very good...in case anyone was interested i kept count of the meal tally, it was 10 pot stickers, 4 wings, salad, 4 servings of noodles and brocoli, 6 shrimps, 5 steaks, 4 chickens, 3 cokes, after my 1 bud, and 1 pork, (for desert i had the pear tree.)

see i told you that was my favorite meal and the one i was looking to the most.

after we stuffed ourselves, it was time for the entertainment to begin, the lady doing the singing was the one we had when we ate there one our anniversary trip, and told her that candi was pregnant, and she gave her a flower lei and then gave her another one and said she would have twins.

we told her the story and of course she said she remembered us and said is this the little guy to parker..
DSC01647.jpg

she talked to us for a while at our table and said she looked forward to parker helping her with her games she was going to start.

she gave us the shaka sign and went about her other tables.
DSC01648.jpg

soon after she called for all the kids to come up and help with the coconut races...at this time she is onher mic that talks over the whole restraunt and calls for parker to come up to the front of hte line with her.
DSC01650.jpg

while the kids were coming up she kept talking to parker
DSC00935.jpg

im sure alot of people were wondering who this parker was. she kept refering to.

he had a ball doing the races.
DSC01660.jpg

after putting his coconut away she called that she was going to do another one, so he of course got called by her and told to come and do another race with her.
DSC01664.jpg

once the races were over, candi and nana, took parker to change him before we left...well our hawaiian lady friend came over to the table and said she had some lays for us...well me and dad were the only ones there, so she gave us each a bunch and then gave us both kisses on the check.
DSC01667.jpg

when she saw parker and the ladies come back in she tagged him with a lei of his own.
DSC00940.jpg

and then our server brought out the desert for us and a bowl of ice cream for parker, and a cupcake for me and candi...here are all three of them.
DSC01668.jpg

continued in the next chapter(next post), ran our of room for the pictures in this one.....

Chapter 13. Captain Parker...

sooo we continue on our dinner night with heading around the poly and checking things out...we stop for the obligitory picture by the water fall.
DSC01671.jpg

and i find well not find i knew it was from trips past, but i take a picture of my hidden mickey...im up to 2 now for the trip.

DSC00944.jpg

we walk over to the TTC view the pathway from the Poly and check out our family stone we bought many years ago...it looked beat up, but everyone walks over it when getting off the trams from the MK parking lot.

then take the monorail around to the contemporary to head back home.

we road the boat back to the FW with a stop at WL first, well on the leg from cont. to WL parker wanted to sit up front by the captain, so we did and he gave parker some trading cards.

DSC00946.jpg

he then started talking to parker about boats and such, and asked him if he wanted to sound the horn when we were shoving off...of course he did, so here he is being the captain. its just a short movie but you can see his reaction genuin thrill in his laugh.

he let him toot the horn at the WL as well. while we were passing the old discovery island, he told us that there are plans to open it up again, and showed us where the opening will be for the new 4 seasons resort.

we talked to him the whole trip, he was a very nice man.

as we pulled into the dock for our camp ground he was messing around in his bag after we docked and wouldnt let go and open the gate for anyone to get off. he pulled out a captains hat and gave it to parker and told him he was now an official disney captain.

DSC00947.jpg

we asked to have a picture with him and parker and he said sure, when he gave him the hat, he took his off, and told him that it was his and very special...he kept his off the whole time and tucked away so parker thought it was really the drivers captain hat.

DSC00949.jpg

we had a hard time getting htat hat off him that night for bed.
DSC01681.jpg

he might be going as a disney boat captain for halloween.

Lesson learned: dont be grumpy to workers, have fun at disney, we always talk to the CM's but found that this trip, they were extra talkative like you could tell that most people dont talk to them. Alot of people that visit just need to slow down, have fun, engage conversation with workers and be nice to those that work hard to make sure you have a good time. It seemed like this trip, that other guests were alot crabbier than they used to be, and you could tell that the CM's really apreciated it when we talked with them.

we found out that when he picked his route for the next 6 months he choose that one, because it is nice and quite the camp ground people are a little more friendly, and he doesnt mind driving the small boats, he lets the young hot dogs think they are big stuff doing the fairy boats and the big MK boats...he like the more personal feel of driving the little boats.

when we got back we got parker in bed, and we went for a run, i through my suit on and ended up running by the pool and jumping in to cool off a little before heading back to the camper to shower and go to bed.

candi started talking to a mom at the pool and she said that her husband and kids were suppose to be gettingout for the last 20 minutes and they kept playing, she said i know i keep telling my big kid to get out as well and he wont,

the lady laughed when i finally got out and walked over and candi said, this is him, hes worse than my 2 year old.
:rotfl::sad2:

so another big update, but i hope you all enjoy it, and have a good weekend, next chapter will be our MK debut for the trip....

Another awesome update....Ohana looks delicious and I can see why it was your favorite meal.

Love the family pic at the table and in front of the waterfall in the lobby.

Parker is too cute in the captain's hat....what an awesome touch of disney magic and how neat that the lady from Ohana remembered you and involved Parker in all the games.

Looking forward to more:goodvibes

Great updates Dan! Wow, 2 chapters for the price of 1!

Yeah, I saw that Bud Light Lime....I also noticed that your Dad opted for something else.

That was quite a tally for you at Ohana. I'm impressed! I love those potstickers, and everything else.

Wow, that's great that Parker has gotten a lot of personal attention, from the Ohana entertainer lady (somebody has got to find out her name!) and from the boat captian. If you only had that BB Photopass person there, the other kids would really have wondered who this celebrity kid was.

He is so cute. Do you have any pictures of him where he's not smiling from ear to ear?

great update

Ohanas looked like a lot of fun. I didnt realize they had nugget for the kid. Maybe next year we will try and get a ressie at Ohanas, as chicken nuggest I know Trent will eat

I seen that lady doing all the entertainment in so many people's TR. She seems like a real nice lady

What an awesome boat captain you had. You can tell he really loves his job :goodvibes

Great Updates Dan !!I had a great experience at Kouzzinas with the Waiter he was awesome , know ing I was with Jordan ya know we were chatting to the staff !!!:rotfl2:

Thanks for everyones input on the waterpsrks !!I think we;ll rent a small locker for out valuables and put our towels From the resort on a chair or 2

ahh the joys of the summer pool.
some of those are more enjoyable than others.

so do these woman go swimming in those white tank tops at the pool, i have not seen this before?
:cool2:

some good advice as well.

:thumbsup2

Unfortunately the women who wear the white tank tops with no bra underneath at our pool are never the ones you want to see.:scared1:
I actually had to have a pretty lengthy conversation with one woman trying to tactfully explain that her top was see through and because of that she could not stay, dressed that way. :rolleyes1

Great update. I love talking to the drivers and such. I am fascinated by Disney Transportation and how they manage to move that many people every day. While waiting on the bus to get clearance to leave one of the parks, I asked and he gave me the rundown of how they are on demand for openings and closings and mid morning go to a shuttle service when demand is not high.

Oooooh, Ohana! I can't wait to go there. The food looks better than I remember. I must've ate about 15 shrimp the last time I was there. SO good!

I love the picture of Parker and the boat captain, too cute! I like talking to the CMs. When I stayed at WL last year, I bumped into Ranger Stan outside and was talking to him for about 20 min. Great guy!

Looks like you had a wonderful dinner. The pictures look very yummy. That was so sweet of the boat captain to give Parker his hat. Being a mom I teared up a little bit.

I love Ohana's. That lady with the leis is so good at her job. She was great with our group at well. Parker looks so cute in the boat captain hat. The family picture in front of the waterfall is great. I think I could eat just noodles and potstickers there, they are so good!

Parker in the hat is just too adorable! He really looked like he enjoyed his boat trip that evening.

You're right...we did have close to the same seats as you at 'Ohana! I sooooo enjoyed the food there this time. Bryan and I still talk about how good it was. That lady is personality plus...it's a good thing you didn't let it slip that you're from somewhere in Indiana! She's quite the Michael Jackson fan, and went nuts when DMIL mentioned that she went to high school in Gary! :rotfl:

I was 2 updates behind.

Great pictures at BB. Parker is just too cute. I can't believe how much he loves the water. All 3 of mine had a healthy fear of the water. Loved your "just saying" remarks. I would like to think I don't end up as any of your comments some day.

Parker just seems to attract so much attentions from the CMs. He is a magnet for magic. His excitement is infectious, especially in the boat video. The boat captain hat is a special touch.
