Squirts, Shirts, and Flirts, The Legend Continues 2 weeks in FW(wrap up #2 new 11-17)

Haha PMS. We tried that for New Years Eve at Hollywood Studios after the midnight fireworks. We had a "chain" also and I was the last one. Before I knew it I had tripped on the curb and went down. No one knew I fell and they were still hanging on to me and walking. I have a lovely scar from what was an otherwise awesome night.

I love the pic of Parker with Belle...too cute!

And poor parker for being so upset about his nana and papa leaving him for that bit.

Looking forward to more:goodvibes

Hey Dan, that was hilarious about the "comfort station"! Makes me think they need to be renaming those. :lmao:

Way behind, but all caught up now!

and you know what he ate 3 pieces of popcorn out of the bucket.
Isn't that always the way it works???
after the show, it was game time, if you guys have read along with me on other TR's then you know that candi has PMS when leaving the park.
You know, it's funny, but DW is probably the only one in the family without PMS... :confused3
so i get my stuff ready to take my shower bag in hand, still a little warm from the day we had...and decide hey boxes are like shorts just a little smaller and its late 11:00 no one will be out...and we are just across the street from the showers.

so i take off in my boxers with shower bag in tow.
No way a decision like this can turn out good...... :rotfl2:
i can be thankful that i wasnt wearing the boxers that sometimes open up and give you an eyefull.
Some people just can't control the urge to brag a little.....:rolleyes1
that is another story that happened at olive garden, that i will have to share another time. well if someone asks then i will share it.
Like you think there is a chance THAT isn't going to happen.......with this crowd???? :lmao:

I am so glad that I was able to go back and get caught up on the Soarin' update that I missed. Too dang funny that girl grabbed your thigh. I'm with Candi, her being scared was all an act just to get to grope you on the ride! She should have gone and gotten her.

I agree with everyone else - the interaction between Parker and Belle was priceless! I love how he threw his book and pen at her. Too funny! :rotfl:

And the lesson Parker learned about spinning Buzz was so adorable. I love how the pictures told the story.

Yay for your great PMS skills! That's true talent, there.

And finally, you had me COMPLETELY cracking up over your last lesson learned over the day. It was just too stinkin' funny! A half a second later or earlier and you would have been free and clear. Okay - I have to ask - did you REALLY get whistled at???

And can we please hear the Olive Garden story??? :worship:

Great Update Dan !!!I am asking ?????:rotfl2:Can't be any more embarassing than when Winkers added an "N" to dog !!!:lmao::lmao:
thanks rose, i dont know it might be it was pretty embarasing

Great update! I love that picture of all of you at Biergarten. Parker looks so grown up in that one.

Glad that Parker has some lessons learned too -- keeping spinning buzzes away from your head.

My oldest daughter is the best in our family at People Maneuvering Skills. I used to be good, but she has eclipsed me. Being so skinny helps. That's probably what gives Candi the edge too.

And last but not least, your trip to the shower house. Oh my! :sad2: Just when you thought it was safe, along comes a bus. :rotfl:

So....about Olive Garden?
yeah i just went and looked at that picture again, and he does, my little man all grown up.
yep he hasnt forgotten that one, he knows how to work that thing now.

then not sure what my excuse is, im not skinny, but i worked it this trip.

it was a good lesson, and one im sure i wont forget too soon.

okay thats 2 for the olive garden story, i will share it before the next responses.

I like all the pictures of Biergarten. I'm looking forward to going there. I've heard great things about the food. I hope I like it!

Such a cute picture of Parker hugging Belle!

:rotfl: Nice way to end the day!
if you like german food at all, you should love it, candi is not afan of the sausage kraute type dishes, and not huge on the flavors of there beefs, so she was not too happy with it, but we all loved it.

that is one of my favorites, he did really good with all the princesses this trip, for some reason, tink not so much.

Lets see

That was hilarious that Parker threw his book and pen at her feet..love it :rotfl2: Glad he warmed up to her in the end.

I am with Candi. Biergarten is not my favorite either. I only like the pretzel bread. Trent hated it in there and held his ears the entire time.

Forgot all about the PMS skills, I am pretty good at that in MK :cool1: Good job almost being first

That is a riot about boxers and the bus :lmao:
we just think he was hot and wanted to go, and also didnt realize she was a princess since she did not have her gown on, maybe he thought it was a random lady.

it wasnt that loud for us, we caught the end of the show, then they didnt come back until we were leaving.

i knew you would like the boxers story, right up sharkys alley.

Wonderful LONG update! So much to comment on.

I wasn't trilled with Biergarten either. It was just okay for me on the food. I did enjoy the atmosphere and entertainment.

The pictures of Parker with Belle made me tear up. So sweet!

What a great Daddy to go to such lengths for popcorn!

Kudos to you on your PMS skills.

I loved the shower run story. I'm picturing the deer in headlights looks right now.

I vote to hear the Olive Garden story.
well i knew it was going to be long, but wanted to finish the day up and alot happened at the end so glad you guys liked it.

i was glad he liked the few pieces he had, he did end up eating more on the way out of the park that night so that was good.

i was kinda stopped like i had my hand caught in the cookie jar, it felt like 5 minutes what really happened in like 5 seconds.
:rotfl:

okay olive garden story coming up next round of responses.

here's a great website that lists all the races at disney world:

http://disneyrunning.com/

with all of them (i think) where they have either a marathon or half-marathon, they also have sort of a "family fun 5K" for people (like me) that can't hang with the marathoners! the one i'm doing is connected with the wine & dine half-marathon and is called Mickey's Halloween Family Fun Run 5K and goes through MK.

one of ray's co-workers did the half-marathon last year and he said they have a kids race for any participants' children and that his kids had a blast doing that, there were characters out there and everything. i told him seth would probably be too little in october 2011 (he'll be just over a year) and he said no, that they had little ones out there, too. as long as they could somewhat walk!
thanks dawn, that website has alot of good info, i didnt realize they had so many races, i thought it was just the one.

so does that mean that you get wine and food along the route, that would make for a good race.

that would be cool to push a stroller while doing it, we have one of those big ones oyu can pull behind a bike, as well as push, so that would work out good for the kids. walk a little then ride some.

Parker and Belle. So dang sweet.
He only ate 3 pieces of popcorn after all that searching? :rotfl2:
Kudos to the PMS, Hubby marvels at my skills too.

You must spill the Olive Garden story... Why, oh why, were you in your boxers at OG? :rotfl:
yep, the things we do for the little ones.

getting out of the parks is an art form that few have mastered, glad to see you have learned the ways.
:thumbsup2

well cause going commando would have gotten me kicked out of there.

i did have shorts on, over the boxers.
:rolleyes1
story coming up.

That's my goal too! To run a 5K then a marathon at Disney

I never have eaten there either. Maybe have to put that on my list of to eats. Ps. I have a little German in me too

Good lesson Parker. In the picture you can see his little scrapped up knees from when he fell

I feel the same about my kids

Of course he did :lmao:

Ok that one you have to share

Great update as always
the marathons do sound fun escpecially that they go through some parks.
i think you will really like it there.

yeah it took most of the trip for them to heal up, then he would scrap them up again.

the things we do for them...

sharing the story shortly.

thanks, have to keep the readers happy.:thumbsup2

Hello! Just found your TR. Your family is great!! I just loved your little stories about Parker - you seem very patient with him (telling him what's going on while he is upset.) Such a good daddy to get him popcorn...even if only for 3 bites. I loved the Belle part so much that I told my DH (he doesn't DIS.) and we thought of our boys doing that. Too cute!

Looking forward to more!
:welcome: thanks for joining in with us.

it seems to work good that way, otherwise they just cry till they calm down on there own...and when it is time to stop one fun thing of course they dont realize why you are stopping it.

like say playing at the park, well that is fun and they dont want to leave...but if you explain to them, that you have to leave the park to go home and get a snack or go home to play with the toys there, or whatever you are going to do, they take it better and understand. at least it seems to work with us, and you avoid the fits of why do i have to stop doing something fun

if you missed any chapters, there are links in the second post on page 1
:thumbsup2

I've never tried German food so this will be a new experience for me. I'm Polish and I love keilbasa so...I think I'll be ok!

so you all asked nicely about the olive garden story, well here it is.

about a year ago, we were eating at olive garden and the waitress was very nice, kept coming around asking for refills on the soup, and kept asking if we wanted more breadsticks. we were good, we had plenty on our table. well dinner comes and goes, and we pay our bill to the waitress that was extra nice and smiley and friendly this trip.

we get to the car and i go to put my seat belt on, and i look down, and low and behold there everything is for all to see. :scared1: i go huh, and get out of the car and stand up, candi asks what is going on, i then go and sit back down in the car and look down, yep out there again.

see what happened was, when i stood everything fell into place. like it should nothing showing, when i sat, everything lined up just perfect, boxer opening opened up, in perfect alignment with the zipper i forgot to zip up and you could see it all. i looked at candi and she said now i see why the waitress was so friendly...

i was showing it all during our meal, and i guess it is not polite for her to let me know something was in the breeze, just kept coming over and asking if we wanted refills and breadsticks.

thats what happens when you love olive garden, i was so caught up in the food i loved, that i didnt even feel the draft in my lap.:sad2:

so there you have the olive garden story and the waitress who had a show during our meal.

Haha PMS. We tried that for New Years Eve at Hollywood Studios after the midnight fireworks. We had a "chain" also and I was the last one. Before I knew it I had tripped on the curb and went down. No one knew I fell and they were still hanging on to me and walking. I have a lovely scar from what was an otherwise awesome night.
ohh no, hope it isnt bad i laughed at that, hope it didnt hurt to bad...

now you will always have a memory when you feel or look at your scar.
:goodvibes

I love the pic of Parker with Belle...too cute!

And poor parker for being so upset about his nana and papa leaving him for that bit.

Looking forward to more:goodvibes
it is a great picture thanks, it is amazing the things he remmebers even now from a long time ago. he knew papa was suppose to sit next to him and ride with him.

Hey Dan, that was hilarious about the "comfort station"! Makes me think they need to be renaming those. :lmao:
:rotfl:thats a good one, but it was comforting to get into the "station" and away from the crowd.

Way behind, but all caught up now!
glad to have you back marv
Isn't that always the way it works???
seems like it, but he likes to eat popcorn at home out of the buzz bucket so its good.

You know, it's funny, but DW is probably the only one in the family
without PMS... :confused3
thats good.

No way a decision like this can turn out good...... :rotfl2:
you wouldnt think so, but at that time of night and being tired it felt good.
:thumbsup2
Some people just can't control the urge to brag a little.....:rolleyes1
well you know.:cool2:
Like you think there is a chance THAT isn't going to happen.......with this crowd???? :lmao:

didnt think so, check story above.

I am so glad that I was able to go back and get caught up on the Soarin' update that I missed. Too dang funny that girl grabbed your thigh. I'm with Candi, her being scared was all an act just to get to grope you on the ride! She should have gone and gotten her.
glad you found it okay, see what happens when you dont pay attention to my updates.
I agree with everyone else - the interaction between Parker and Belle was priceless! I love how he threw his book and pen at her. Too funny! :rotfl:
thanks it made the people around us laugh as well.

And the lesson Parker learned about spinning Buzz was so adorable. I love how the pictures told the story.
im glad we caught it on camera it makes it that much funnier.

Yay for your great PMS skills! That's true talent, there.
thanks i had a great teacher in candi.

And finally, you had me COMPLETELY cracking up over your last lesson learned over the day. It was just too stinkin' funny! A half a second later or earlier and you would have been free and clear. Okay - I have to ask - did you REALLY get whistled at???
yep that little bit of time, made for a great TR chapter...
maybe i did, or maybe it was more of a cat call, or maybe that is what i told myself so i was so embarrased, one will never know.

And can we please hear the Olive Garden story??? :worship:
sure can look above.

I've never tried German food so this will be a new experience for me. I'm Polish and I love keilbasa so...I think I'll be ok!

yeah you will be good,

it might not look very appetizing, but try the beef type rolled up sausage, it was very good.

it kinda seemed like it was shaved beef rolled and stuffed into a cassing, and in a very good brown type gravy.

i loved it and sorry i didnt try it till later on in the meal when i was getting full.

Lesson learned update.

TOTALLY worth the wait!

:lmao:

OMG that is just a riot!!!!!!!!!!!!

Between the 30 minute popcorn adventure, PMS and flashing the bus....you will be hard pressed to top that!

Well done. Well done.

Though I'm thinking the Olive Garden epsiode may be TMI.

Just sayin'

WOW you can really tell how hot it was in your American Adventure pic....all your faces are so red. Glad Parker got his nap in.

The Belle story is priceless & I love the way she was able to bring him around & get that great hug at the end.

All that work for 3 pieces of popcorn....oh well gotta love it right? popcorn::

I am terrible at the PMS thing! I guess I have an aversion to touching strangers which always seems to happen when you try to maneuver through those crowds. We tend to hang back & enjoy a more leisurely walk out.:cool1:

I bet those people on the bus thought hmmmmmmmmmmm guess that guy forgot he was at WDW & you are never alone.......there's someone watching, always watching.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

And oh my Dan :scared1: that Olive Garden story :scared1:. Guess the waitress liked the view since she kept coming around huh? I love how you sat down, stood up, sat down to figure it all out.

Yikes! Yes, I would have thought you might have noticed a breeze at Olive Garden. Yowsah.

:rotfl::rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

Your Olive Garden story was just hilarious! OMG! The waitress must have liked what she saw, LOL! If you want good service in a restaraunt, from here on out, you know what you gotta do. Sometimes you make sacrifices for extra garlic bread and soup refills!!!

I'll keep an eye out for it!
:thumbsup2

see i knew you would like it.

it will be a hard chapter to beat, but i have some more good stuff coming up...allthought that might be the funniest round of lessons learned.

sorry, i was asked the story and not telling the whole thing would have raised to many more questions so i thought might as well get it all out there (literally speaking)

WOW you can really tell how hot it was in your American Adventure pic....all your faces are so red. Glad Parker got his nap in.
yeah we all look like we wanted to nap in that one.

The Belle story is priceless & I love the way she was able to bring him around & get that great hug at the end.
u could tell she loved her job, some of them seem to just tolerate it, but we had good luck with them this trip the face characters that is.

All that work for 3 pieces of popcorn....oh well gotta love it right? popcorn:

::yes::

thats where the skills come in, i didnt clip or bump into a single person, have to show no fear, and let them know you are coming through, well that and if you need to use the stroller wheels to clip the heals and get them to jump out of the way.
I bet those people on the bus thought hmmmmmmmmmmm guess that guy forgot he was at WDW & you are never alone.......there's someone watching, always watching.:rotfl:
sounds like rozz on monsters inc.

And oh my Dan :scared1: that Olive Garden story :scared1:. Guess the waitress liked the view since she kept coming around huh? I love how you sat down, stood up, sat down to figure it all out.
she must have, good way to keep them coming for those refills...and i had to make sure that it wasnt just a one time thing, and see if that could explain the restraunt.
;)

Yikes! Yes, I would have thought you might have noticed a breeze at Olive Garden. Yowsah.
nope not a thing, i think i was too focused on putting down those 4 bowls of pasta fagiol soup.
popcorn::
:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

Your Olive Garden story was just hilarious! OMG! The waitress must have liked what she saw, LOL! If you want good service in a restaraunt, from here on out, you know what you gotta do. Sometimes you make sacrifices for extra garlic bread and soup refills!!!

very true, i am willing to sacrifice for the good of the cause and keep the soup and breadstick refills coming. :rotfl2:

What a dedicated Daddy - running all over for popcorn for his little guy!

I've never been to the biergarten - that place looks huge! I don't think my kids would have eaten anything there....:sad2:

Ok, between the walking to the showers in the boxers story and the Olive Garden story, I have lots to make DH laugh when he gets home! :rotfl: Holy schmoly, Dan - you really didn't notice??!??

Chapter 10. Important Lessons + PMS

well well it has been about a week since an update and i am sorry, every time i went to do one, something came up...so lets get back to it shall we.

we last left off, with a bridge up in our face and not able to cross...so we mossy on past norway with a 40 minute stand by wait, are you serious.

and get fast passes for later on...which for some reason no one else sees them or is getting them so the return time is only an hour away from the actual time we are right now.
Who knew Maelstrom was a Fastpass?

Dan said:
he was doing good and within minutes he was out...he slept the whole show and didnt wake up until we were halfway down the exit.
Nice :thumbsup2

Dan said:
here is mine, i loved it all, i really liked the top item that was a pork/or chicken/ not sure, with the spatzle and gravy over it.
That actually looks really good.

Dan said:
as soon as the car started to move, and we turned to look at the screens parker moved fast, and looked all over the car, and kept saying papa, papa, well he remembered papa road that with him earlier in the day, and started bawling, not just a cry, i mean a bawl, where he was screaming papa, over and over and every other papa was a silent one that hard crying, he wanted him so bad, candi couldnt even calm him down and normally mama works every time to calm him down. we felt really bad for the other people on the ride but what are you going to do, jump out of the car and get it to stop in the middle...we were stuck for the next 2-3 minutes working on him.
Ah yes...those moments are such a joy.

Dan said:
i am down to about 5 minutes to make it back what took me about 10 to speed walk on the way there. i take off running, not wanting parker to miss his popcorn for the show and not have me there when it starts.
That whole story made me tired! Good job on the dad duties though! And good job on navigating the crowds.

The late night show at the bus stop was cracking me up.

As to the OG story...Yikes! Sorry to hear you had windows on your laptop. That's always ebarrasing. Althought it may have been even worse if the waitress HAD told you that Ensign Hanes was reporting a hull breach on the lower decks.

Great update on WS!

I think on your Biergarten plate, the meat at 12 o'clock is pork roast, at 5 it looks like beef rouladen to me and at 9 it looks like the sauerbraten - there also is half a schnitzel between the beef rouladen and the sauerbraten. :goodvibes

Parker's interaction with Belle was so cute! I love it when the characters interact with the kids. :goodvibes

And your last lesson learned was soo funny!!! :lmao: I guess you never saw a bus on your way to the showers after that again?
