My inlaws are being a bit difficult about our resort selection.
I had a comment about the in-laws but thought better of it and edited it out.![]()
If you want BLT and it's your trip, I'd say it's your choice. If you have kiddos, then I think the proximity to MK is more important than the amount of space, and FOR SURE the 3rd bathroom trumps it. The only bad thing about BLT for you on this trip is that it looks like you might need to use the living room as a bedroom, and that might be difficult at BLT. Depending on the number of kids, I might suggest the kids take the second bedroom and maybe you take the living room so the adults would all have use of the living room when the kiddos are in bed.
Thanks all. We are both owners and split the cost of a 2bdrm, but since it is our trip and invited them along we picked the resort. Inlaws love OKW and so do we, but with three kids we love the location of BLT. Inlaws say they saw the room at BLT and the person giving them the tour said the rooms were smaller and that it really isn't "kid friendly". Sounds like another interesting trip with the inlaws is on the horizen.

As for the sleeping arrangements. DD will be 8 and will probably just sleep with us. I will end up getting a toddler bed and a crib form abbf so master will be tight, but again I really do not anticipate spending much time in the master bedroom.
My thought exactly. We like to go to 1900 for dinner the first night so being on the monorail makes that easier. Walking to and from the MK is a huge plus. MIL wants to go to HDDR so the boat to the campground makes that easier. They like the neighborhood feel of OKW and I get that, but for me the pros of the location far out weigh 300 sq. feet.
I also want to be attached to a resort considering the time of year. If one of those you know whats ( I refuse to use the "H" word) happens to hit, as much fun as it sounds to be trapped in a room with three kids I'd rather not. At least this way we can go over to the Comtemp. to shop and pin trade.

So you are looking at both a toddler bed and a crib with you in the master? I'm not certain that's even physically possible. The master is one of the areas that has a lot less space compared to OKW. I think it's even less than what you get at BWV or BCV and that some of BLT's greater size goes into the bathrooms and a larger living area.
All in all though I'd not have a problem sticking with BLT. We were in a Dedicated 2BR in Dec and have stayed in an OKW Dedicated 2BR also. I'd be concerned about the sleeping arrangements as you are thinking though.
I not sure it will be a problem. We always had at least one of those in the room on one side of the bed. Now we will just have to put something on the other side.
