My DH, DD 3.5 
and I have spent most of the week with my inlaws in Modesto. We were swimming in the pool today, and my husband was giving my daughter a "train ride to Disneyland" around the shallow end.
He then offered to give me the next ride to Disneyland. I said, "for real?" and he said, "Why not? " And he was completely serious.
So, we are leaving for DLR tomorrow after lunch. We're staying at the Tropicana, and will spend two days in the parks. I already have my Ridemax plans ready to go...we'll see how well they work for DCA.
The best part? We're not telling our DD where we're going. She's going to think we're leaving to go home to Seattle. We don't plan to tell her until she figures it out for herself. I am so excited I can hardly stand it!!
And, a big shout out to the Disboards! We would never have even considered this without all of the help and tips we got for our last trip, and the advice I've been reading up on today. You guys are the best!
This is without a doubt the most spontaneous thing we have ever done. Our entire families think we're insane, but you only live once! So, DLR--here we come!
