Sprucing up front of house...any suggestions?

Hi All!
My home is 60 years old,ex-council house and I hate the way it looks at front.
I want to make the front of my house more aesthetically appealing.
Ive had new windows and a new roof,but cant escape the "old" and unattractive feel of the front of the home...so any reasonably priced,and reasonably easy suggestions appreciated.

Um,this is more like it.
I had a quote for pathing....£3,750!!!!!!!!!!!Dont think I'll be doing that.But it would of been brill!!!

Keeping the weeds away would be a good start.
