Wondering if anyone has stayed at either of these hotels?

We're considering staying at one of them for a couple of days on our June trip & I would love to hear others experiences ~ general info. on hotel, how easy of a walk to SW/Aquatica, experience with free shuttle service to SW/Aquatica, attractions/restaurants/fast food within walking distance, etc.

Thanks in advance!

I cann't help you out to much since I have not stayed at either - the hotels are both new, opening in July, 09'; they are not far from SW and Aquatica, but in my opinion it would be difficult to walk to either park; the hotels face the back side of SW, so it would be a long walk around the permiter of the park and through the full length of the parking lot to get to SW's entrance (also not sure if there are walkways along the road or not); the hotels are on the same side of International Drive as is the entrance to Aqautica, but I believe it would be a lengthly walk along International Drive (and again not sure if there are walkways along the Street or not); there is a Friday's in the parking lot in front of the hotels, which hotels sit side by side; I do not believe there is much else around the area within walking distance other than a gas station/convenience store; unless someone else makes a post, you could probably call the hotels to check on shuttle service to the parks - I would assume both hotels use the same shuttle.

I was wondering the same thing too. I will have car drive for my Labor Day.

I was early for work so I drove the few blocks over that way, although I have never stayed at either hotel.

As stated earlier, there is a TGI Friday's directly in front of the hotels. There are also 2 places across the street - Wendy's and KFC. 2 more places are within what I would consider to be easy walking distance (maybe 2 or 3 blocks) - Denny's and McDonalds. There are also one or two smaller places, one was a Japanese place and I couldn't tell what the other one was, but I am not promising either of them are open. There is also a gas station with a mini-mart across the street.

The walk to Aquatica wouldn't be bad, since it is on the same side of the road, but I do not remember a sidewalk. If you do walk, you can walk into the exit road, which would be shorter then walking all the way around the park. And I agree on the walk to Sea World - it would be rather long, with no good sidewalks.

FLOIR -Thanks so much for making a special detour to get that info :lovestruc.

Our family generally prefers to walk, but it looks like the shuttle will be a better option ~ at least for SW.

Glad to hear of a few places to eat w/in walking distance too, as we won't have a car.

I drove by and took a closer look. There is also a Thai place close. And a little supermarket, but based on the displays in the window, it is mostly beer, although I am sure they also have other things.

The Japanese, Thai, supermarket, and Dennys are all on I-Drive. The other 3 places (Wendy's, KFC, McD's) are all on Central Florida P-way.
