Spring trip to the World, chance for summer clothes sale?

I just realized my older daughter (7) has grown out of lots of last years summer clothes including bathing suits and sandals. Do any stores do pre-season sales? Our trip is at the end of April. I really do not want to pay full price

I dont know how much they are... but Kohls had their summer stuff out... everything is always on "sale" there...lol

Do you have a Burlington Coat Factory? I bought a swimsuit there yesterday.

We always go the last week of March and I buy my kids 4-5 new outfits each for the trip plus swimsuits/swimtrunks. I never have to pay full price for them. Since your trip is a month later than mine, you'll definitely be able to find plenty of stuff on sale. Gap, Justice, Old Navy, Children's Place,Gymboree, etc. all already have alot of spring/summer stuff out and some of it has been on sale already too!

Resale shops and Good Will usually have summer clothes. I often find things that have never been worn. But you have to be a hunter.

Just last week, my Walmart still had a good bit of boys summer clothes on sale. I got 5 shorts for $3 each. Don't know about girl clothes though.

Gymboree was running a huge sale on last summer/spring lines. Every shirt and short was $3.99. Pants, skirts, pjs and dresses were $6.99. Socks, underwear and accessories were .99. Shoes were $4.99. Plus gymbucks starts the 19th and I was told that this deal would still be going on, which means you can use gymbucks toward them and get everything 1/2 off!

You could look at online retailers as well. When I was ordering Christmas items the Target website had kids shorts and t-shirts at Clearance prices. I imagine even places that don't keep the summer stock out this time of year would have it available on their websites?

ETA.. I saw someone else mentioned Lands End as well. I know I have seen summer items in their Clearance recently as well. It's a good time to get things from them dirt cheap because I've been getting a new online shopping code for them in my email almost every day.

Our stores don't have anything spring summer on sale. Gymboree has a few things. It looks like everyone is switching over to the NEW spring line. Lands End has all new stuff, all at retail price, really nothing left on clearance. Lesson learned, shop for summer stuff in August when it is on sale. Although since out trip is late in april I am sure I will get some e-mails for 30% an entire order at several stores so I will be patient

Lands end was just having a big clearance sale. I saw shorts, tees, and bathing suits pretty cheap. Try their Overstocks section.

edited to add: I just looked at Lands end in Overstocks and they have some shorts $6, bathing suits $3-$9, tops, and sandals too. Good luck!

I just went to KMart yesterday and saw that they had a whole bunch of last year's summer clothes on clearance for 40% off the clearance price AND they let me put it in layaway. I was shocked! I got my husband 8 pairs of shorts,8 shirts, my daughter 4 shirts and 4 shirts for myself. I got a few other things that I can't think of right now, but only spent $134. I love the fact that you can put clearance in layaway.

Old Navy has a few things left from last Summer (online). Lands End has been having their clearance for a while now so a lot of sizes are sold out - but there are some great stuff still left over. JC Penny's is also having a clearance sale.

Ebay is a great place to find Summer stuff cheap - but look now. Prices will soon be going up, (on Ebay) most ppl buy Summer during late Winter/early Spring. I just got DD a Gap swimsuit and Adidas sandals (both new) for less than $10 each.

Today is a good day to shop since a lot of stores have a MLK sale.

Our Targets here (in WI, mind you) have all NEW summer stuff out. Shorts, tank tops, swimsuits, sandals, etc.

But try and find a pair of gloves or snowboots.
