Spring & Summer Seasonal and Holiday Recipe Swap-Postal

I love shortbread but its soooooooo fattening  you just can't substitute butter for anything else to lower the calories :headache: But its really worth it once in a while

OK saw the pics :) Looks fun and a non-intimidating way to start swapping other that flowers and such LOL

So sign me up for Summer, Kids, and Holiday! Holiday will be Christmas. I am so excited and have so many ideas swirling around my head!

I have it updated to here. pretty in tink gave me her recipes over the phone. She is doing spring, summer, holiday and kids.

I'm so pleased that we have some new swappers joining us this time.

I actually think I'd rather do the birds nest for holiday-easter. I was picking supplies for it today and kept getting drawn to easter eggs and the like, mainly since it's a basket shaped food with a PEEP on it filled with jellybeans. Is it too much trouble to switch that? I'll find a different recipe for the kids group soon

Quick question:

Should they be printed, then mounted to another piece of paper and then mounted to Cardstock? Or, can they just be printed on cardstock and mounted to cardstock?

I can change to double matting on all but one, because one in particular just wouldn't look right with the design I have in mind (Summer):confused3

n4th - I can't answer for everyone, but I just like what looks gooooooood;) My main concern is that the SIZE is right so I can put it in the album OK. And that its not got icky lumps of glue or whatever:rolleyes1

I think the 3 layers can make the recipe look more finished and substantial, but I also know that not every design fits into that. If the recipe is large, or if embellishments take up a lot of space, you might not be able to do it either. So if the recipe looks good to you without the extra layer, that's ok. On the other hand, if your recipe is looking like it needs something more, an extra layer could be what you need.

I have done a couple of mine with printed paper on bottom, instead of cardstock. They are more flimsy, but since I have them in a book with another recipe behind it, they aren't really going to bend or anything.

I've got my recipes typed up - I'm just waiting for some plain cardstock to print them onto then I'm going to get everything cut and take it on vacation to assemble - can't go 5 days without scrapping :scared:

I finally got my recipes typed, but will wait till I get home from WDW to put things together!:)

CHecking in ;)

I have picked all but one of my recipes (having a hard time choosing between two!). Got my recipe LOs sketched out and colors chosen for the two recipes I have decided on. This is so fun!

I have all my recipes except 1 in the computer. I have a lot of the paper and embellishments together. My LSS is ordering an embellishment for me. She said it wouldn't take long to get it in. I guess I should start cutting some paper and printing some recipes now.

I finished all my holiday recipe cards :) I started on the kids' recipe and am trying to find the right embellie for the summer recipe. I am really enjoying this swap.

Just posting a reply. I'll be in WDW from the 13th-18th so I probably won't be checking in. Just as a heads up incase anyone tries to contact me

I've got my cardstock but I'm waiting on embellishments. I'll try to get them rpinted today though so I'm ready to go when we get back, and take the colour swap to do on vacation instead. I'll only be away for a few days, but don't be surprised if you don't get a reply for a bit as I won't have computer access.
