I'm going to be renting DVC points at SSR, but I was thinking of staying our first night at POP using the Spring Discount and purchasing Park Hopper + Water Park Fun & More 5 Day Passes. The Disney website let's me get to the final payment page, but I'm just worried about running into issues later. We'll be staying at a Disney property for the rest of our stay so I'm assuming I can just use our POP room key that will have the tickets on it for the rest of our stay at SSR and then just use the SSR room key as just our room key. Any one have any experience with this?

I don't think that's the offer. If you book a package with 4 day tickets or more you get a savings on both resort and park tix.

I thought that myself, but it did let me add the 5 day tickets to a 1 night room reservation. Also, the fine print says, "Add minimum 4-Day Magic Your Way Tickets to your room to make it a package - and enjoy discounts on both your room AND tickets! Everyone in the same room must be on the same package. Savings based on the non-discounted price of the same ticket."

I've gotten all the way to the payment page with a one night stay at POP and two 5 Day Park Hopper + Water Park Fun & More tickets. Undercover Tourist is about $28 more for the same tickets, plus I'd save $109 staying at POP for one night.

I guess I'm just wondering if anyone else has done this? It looks like it would work, but I'm a worry wart :goodvibes

I do not believe there would be any problem using your POP room key throughout the stay. But a disadvantage would be CHARGING anything to your room or having PACKAGES sent there.

For that reason, I suggest when you check-in at POP you ask Guest Services if the park passes can be TRANSFERRED to your SSR key upon check-in at your second location.

We stayed 3 nites at AKL concierge last November, then transferred to POP for the rest of our stay (only way we could justifying all the WONDERFUL tours & dining experiences we did). They had no problem whatsoever with moving our park passes. They also offered to print out passes separately - not tying them to any room key - but we were fine with just having POP move them.

Once you have purchased those park passes, they are yours. Disney knows you paid the money somewhere and are happy to have you in their parks spending your vacation money and making those memorable moments!

Yep, you can do this. Won't be a problem. This offer is unusual in that there is no minimum number of nights required.

As another poster said, you can ask to have the tickets transferred to your SSR room key after you check in there, which would be more convenient.

Yup...I did this before too. Just had concierge at my 2nd resort move the remaining days left on my ticket over. It was no problem.
