Spring Break Trip Dining ?

Hello all!!
You have been so helpful in planning our upcoming trip. One thing I initially wasn't stressing about was dining reservations because I had read it was so different than WDW. If we are coming at spring break and want to do a character dining how soon do they take reservations? Or still are they even needed? There will only be 3 of us.

Dining reservations can be made 60 days in advance. Sometimes the computer doesn't open up the times exactly 60 days out, but usually it does. Spring break times can be crowded, so I would make the reservations just to be safe.

If I may suggest a character dining experience, it would be Minnie and friends at plaza. We made a 710 reservation on our non magic morning day and were the first ones in the restaurant with tons of time with characters. We ate and were in the park by 745, to get in line and my kids (6 and 3 at the time) loved it so much!
