Hey, y'all! (I figured I might as well greet you like I'd greet anyone else from here in Alabama. ;) ) I thought I'd take advantage of a little insomnia and share my pre-trip plan and progress with you. Not that you're interested, but I blog, and we all know that bloggers are narcissistic. And I've hit a bloggy writer's block lately. So, lucky you.

So, let's get this narcissistic thread started!

DH and I are taking DD8 and DS2 to WDW. We arrive at Pop Century on Sat, March 14 and leave on March 21. We got the buy 4/get 3 free deal. In addition to our loud little group, DH's favorite uncle (only 9 years older) and his wife are going with us. They are also staying at the Pop, and hopefully, we will have adjoining or nearby rooms. Aunt is a very close friend of mine, and DS2 would probably leave me for her most any day. She's great. DD8 loves her too.

We're all one, big, happy, loving, high-tech-hillbilly family.

We've all been before. Here's how it breaks down, as best as I can get it.
Me: 2x as a kid, once at Contemporary, once in college, 2005 off-site, 2006 Pop Century, 2008 off-site.
DH: once as a kid, then same trips as me in 2005, 2006 and 2008.
DD8: 2005, 2006 and 2008.
DS2: 2008
Aunt: several times, always off-site
Uncle: 2006 off-site

We're doing the Deluxe Dining Plan and I've made my ADR for each day. We love to eat and try to do character meals whenever possible. Here's how the meals break down...

3-14
pre-park open breakfast at Tusker House in AK (then get in line and FP for Safari!)
8pm Spirit of Aloha (have a drink and go to bed!)
3-15
pre-park open breakfast at Playhouse Disney in DHS (let DS2 play with "eintines"!)
3:35pm Mama Melrose (Fantasmic show package) (another drinkypoo maybe!)
3-16
10:30 breakfast at Ohana (we're sleeping in that day!)
8pm dinner at Tutto Italia in Italy (love me some Alfredo sauce!)
3-17
10am breakfast with Chef Mickey (sleeping in again, gonna eat my weight in bacon!)
8:15pm dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table (wishing for drinkypoo)
3-18
11:40 lunch at La Cellier (wanted dinner ressies, but not possible)
8pm dinner at Chefs de France (gonna taste me some fancy French wine!)
3-19
9am breakfast at 1900 Park Faire (more bacon, less sleep)
8pm dinner at Jiko (curious about their drinkypoos. Whatsthatyousay? They serve FOOD too?!?! wow)
3-20
8:35 breakfast at Akershus in Norway (do they have bacon in Norway?)
8:30pm dinner at Teppan Edo (Sake anyone?)

Ok, let me say this. I'm not a heavy drinker. None of us are. It was just fun the first two times I typed it, and then I couldn't think of anything else to say.

ahem

With all these ADR, knowing some are Signature Restaurants, we have either 7 or 4 TS or CS credits left. Depending on the accuracy of my counting at any given moment. :confused3 You can probably correct me and set me on the straight and narrow. Being the good Baptist preacher's kid that I am, I will be very gracious in accepting your guidance and any necessary chastising. :guilty:

We're getting the $200 gift card, and I've called and confirmed that it is on our reservations. They are not sending out vouchers, the reservation simply says that it will be available at check-in.

We plan to use that gift card for double stroller rental. We have long-legged, heavy kids. If we liked them more, we'd carry them. But since we only like them enough to buy their WDW passes and food, they can just ride in the stroller and like it.

When I have posted enough times to be able to post pics or links, I'll put up a picture of them in the stroller from last year. It's a funny picture with DD8's long legs folded up. princess:

My packing priorities are thus,
chapstick
migraine medicine :headache:
immodium
diapers
wipes
butt paste
comfy shoes
dry socks
comfy clothes
jackets for nights and mornings (waterproof ones to do double-duty during rain. )
camera, cable, charger, laptop (i'm the still camera person in the family)
waterproof bag for camera and phones in case of rain and wet rides
pillow, neckroll (cause I play favorites when I'm sleepy)
video camera and discs for it (DH's responsiblity is to video)

I've looked into Photopass sharing and don't think it's for us. I take LOTS of pics and am decent with my Digital Rebel. I've handed it over to the Photopass photographers in the past and gotten equally good shots from it, compared to what they take with their WDW cameras. I am ok with graphics programs too and can crop, edit, cut and paste my shots to add in the frames, labels, etc. that they charge waaaaay too much for.

We're gonna do FP on everything we can.

We considered staying at a moderate or deluxe resort. We chose to stay at Pop again for a few reasons. We're paying for Aunt and Uncle to go with us, so that used the extra money we would have needed to upgrade resorts. We merely need a place to sleep, shower and s- SIT. Pop provides all that comfortably, in our experience. The food court is more than sufficient for quick meals or snacks. The bus stop isn't shared with any other resorts, so our travel time is minimized. One day, we'll stay somewhere that is a monorail resort. Just not this year. (And, yes, you can become our favorite Aunt and Uncle and get a trip to WDW. But the waiting list is LOOOONG. And they have a life-long contract. So, get in line. And start kissing up now.)

Is anyone still reading this?

If so, and you want to conversate (not a real word, I know. shut up) with me about my trip and yours (which will suck compared to mine), then reply back. Or better yet, go to my blog and read other things I've written - wait. They won't let me post links yet.

nevermind

I'll give you my blog address later. When I'm a big girl.

31 days and counting!!!
