Spring Break Crouds

We are going to celebrate our daughters 30th birthday in Universal Florida this coming April! It's when her and her husband can get away from teaching. Spring Break! This is where my questions start. What are the crowds like the first week and weekend of April? What is the weather like? I have always heard about love bugs. Is this when they make their appearance? It will be 4 adults. We have not really decided which hotel as yet. Started out looking at Cabana Beach and then started thinking about an on property hotel because of the possible crowds. Any and all help/suggestions are welcome.

Cabana Beach is on property, but you only get early admission, no express pass.

I believe Easter is on the 5th. Crowds will be heavy and I suggest staying at one of the 3 deluxe hotels for the express pass.

I think the crowd calendars are a guess at this point. With DA opening no one knows what the crowd levels will be like. We went again the week after Columbus Day which were predicted to be low. Not so much...just my opinion.
