Spring Break and Express Wait times

We have been to Universal only 2 times before and our monkeys are finally old enough ( READ: TALL ENOUGH) to ride the big daddy rides My question is; We are staying onsite what kind of wait times should we expect during the brutal Spring Break season? We will be there April 6th and 7th. Last time we went to US was the 1st week in June and it was almost unnerving how little we waited with FOTL access.
I realize Spring Break is THE heaviest time of attendance...Just trying to get a feel for it. Last year we were at Disney for Spring Break and decided that even staying on-site, doing Rope-Drop daily and being dilligent with Fast Passes it was so not worth dealing with the crowds at Spring Break.

The nice thing about staying onsite is that if the crowds seem too brutal you can be back at the hotel in minutes. However, if you do a search on FOTL you will find that out of dozens and dozens of threads discussing express lines you can only find one where someone complains about it being too slow. Sounds like pretty good odds to me.

We will also be there April 5th to the 9th. Staying at PBH. I am worried about the wait times, but I am hoping for the best...

Remember that the number of Express Passes is controlled. There are a limited number issued on high attendance days to try to keep the Express wait down.

Since you're staying onsite, I wouldn't too much about wait times. I'm guessing you would be looking at a maximum of 30 minutes in the Express line. It's much higher during SB for the standby lines.
